Hello,

Had a weird one this holidays after a 5 hr drive in alot of heat and traffic i went to start the car the next day and it would turn over once or twice then sound like the starter motor was slipping (whizzing sound) and then try and turn it over again.

I eventually got it started and now everything is fine. Starting perfect again.

Is that just a warn out starter motor? Can the heat in the engine bay with 515hp and in traffic cause issues?

Worth rebuilding the starter motor?

Means your solenoid is not throwing out.so your starter motor is turning over but not engaging the ring gear. Its generally a simple fix, remove the starter motor, clean the solenoid and dry lube then replace. Any autoelec can do it.

Probably should have done this to mine when I had it off the car last. Fk pulling it off now even if it is a good precautionary measure lol.
