Good to see the car go into good hands :)

Thank you! It was nice to meet you at JustJap, I will be around soon to buy a fair few items for my next service, rather than chase power I've decided I'd like to refresh the car as much as possible, starting with an overhaul of the fluids, belts and pumps.

It seems that the car has already had some of these items changed in the past, however I do not have any records or receipts. At 140,000kms, my shopping list is:

  • Engine oil: Motul 300V 10W40 and genuine Nissan oil filter
  • Transfer case: Nissan Matic D
  • Front diff: Motul Gear300 75W90
  • Rear diff: Motul FF-LSD Type 2 75W90
  • Brake/clutch: Motul RBF600 DOT4
  • Gearbox - still researching suitable oil
  • Spark plugs - also still researching which is suitable
  • Fuel filter
  • Coolant flush
  • Crank angle sensor - been showing Code 11 Crank Angle Sensor/Phase Sensor for some time now, finally starting to see symptoms of a fried sensor - unwillingness to rev, revs dropping on idle, etc
  • Water pump/timing belt/cam and crank seals, etc - probably will go OEM belts
  • Ancillary belts - probably also OEM belts
  • Thermostat
  • Radiator fan - starting to show some stress cracks

If anyone has any further recommendations feel free to let me know!

Great pics, except that ugly Supra.

List looks good to me. When doing timing belt, replace the idler and tensioner bearings also. Worth looking at Cam and Crank seals while you're there if they have never been done. If you're paying for labour, you might as well get the whole lot done and save yourself paying twice.

Thank you! Will be replacing all of the above, I went with the Kudos Motorsports 100,000km service kit. Highly recommended, took only a few days to arrive.

Thank you for the reply! I looked into all of the above links and in particular used the ayu452 blog.

I ended up getting Transmax Z for the Getrag.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
