built RB26 87mm pistons, fruity

built rb26 engine
built by engine action in flemington
has approx under 10,000kms, only did one track day- was a 33 degree day and did not go over 85 degrees with a stock GTR radiator
made 280kw on 16psi (did have some issues that were narrowed down to some air leaks)

bottom end:
R33 Long nose crank
block, cradle, crank and rods inspected, machined and hot tanked
arp rod bolts fitted to the rods, crankshaft machined, balanced, unplugged and cleaned and replugged
87mm cp piston and ring sets, ACL race series main and rod bearings

standard oil pump reconditioned with a billet gear added
gates timing belt

head has been hardness and vacuum tested and has had a standard refresh, all valves reseatedm new guides etc.
torqued down with permaseal rod bolts (oem) on a MLS steel head gasket.
 

engine covers painted BMW sepang bronze, with a pearl through it.
includes RB26 sump modified to suit a RWD application, alternator, power steering pump

AC gear is not available
$8000 ono
Motor never let me down, made it to sydney and back in summer with no hiccups.
only has a few minor oil leaks. which i think are from incorrectly fitted seals (by a mechanic i chose due to convenience, and not experience!)

ps: i can remove the head and sump for interested parties for a thorough inspection.
invoice is available for the motor build.
all you need to do is bolt on some turbos and away you go

    • Remember kids - if you can't afford to buy 2 GTRs......
    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
