I wonder if the PNM35/G35x trans would plug in to your loom. Might be a worthy swap as it has nicer changes and no external pump to worry about.

I will definitely look into that option. Need to remove the box to replace the output shaft speed sensor as its located in the spacer between the transfer case and valve body. (Need to remove both transfer case and spacer to get to it)20161218_104637.thumb.jpeg.73984d24d0201

Installed the front pipe with new bolts and gasket as well as polished up the Nismo catback. Dash removed and wiring checked and pins reset ready for the parts arriving on Wednesday from Jason. Also removed the outsidereo that was on the Nismo rear bar for a cleaner look. 20161219_191824.thumb.jpeg.7182ac79d9ec2FB_IMG_1482141176859.thumb.jpeg.62cf1cba20161219_191837.thumb.jpeg.891d587d2b9c020161219_193856.thumb.jpeg.5a46bc50db12720161219_194255.thumb.jpeg.faf7e8f87d36f20161219_200124.thumb.jpeg.eff16636d5ac620161219_210909.thumb.jpeg.28cae71eee0e2

With new carpet, washer bottle etc arriving yesterday from Victoria the stagea is almost back together. Still have some headunit wiring to sort out along with reinstalling the amps. Have a locksmith booked in for the 30th for reprogramming and diagnosis. 20161221_104057.thumb.jpeg.207e11d9f160d20161222_155504.thumb.jpeg.4e3dce908888d20161222_155526.thumb.jpeg.ea2141c78128f20161222_155537.thumb.jpeg.b6301eefa578a20161222_155549.thumb.jpeg.63cebea29bed820161222_155614.thumb.jpeg.51442d847acd4

Todays job was to reinstall the weather shields. Ive noticed they have been sprayed with what i think is that tail light tinting spray. I will have to sand them back and reapply as the coverage is poor. When i ripped the rainguards off they had the old grey tape still on with a few sikaflex'd on with white sika flex (more of a sealing agent than a adhesive) and the other few had white double sided tape so both were very noticable. So i have removed 95% and taken back to the bare plastic. I then used a black adhesive sikaflex that will hold them better and hide the adhesive more. Just have to remove the tape after 3 hrs and wipe away any excess sika with grease & wax remover. 20161224_110116.thumb.jpeg.20062f0d478cc20161224_110121.thumb.jpeg.ee765768f29ba20161224_112406.thumb.jpeg.0e67e28ec234620161224_110543.thumb.jpeg.2bb3119a9c07f20161224_112345.thumb.jpeg.812221d37fca220161224_112358.thumb.jpeg.5836059932196

Got a bit of time today so worked on the amp mount location. I received a under boot tray a few days ago so put it to good use and mounted the amps where i had my last one. I just need to wire it all up and install 4 pcu fans to circulate air around the amps. 20161224_201021.thumb.jpeg.f09e5b5d0b23820161224_201530.thumb.jpeg.9a16f050fbd5920161225_173005.thumb.jpeg.332a776a4f3bf20161225_173955.thumb.jpeg.15a6f2c890de120161225_174551.thumb.jpeg.4a0dea020f39e

Been a big development with the stagea over the last 24hrs. She now started. I have read up that because the car never shown a engine light there was a possible earthing issue so i started checking all wiring in the engine bay. Found a black plug next to the battery that, to the naked eye looked connected, when pushed down it clicked and gave me back the engine light. I still had no starter signal when key was turned but i have fuel pump and fuel through the injectors. So i hooked up a direct 12v feed to a push button and now car starts. I still have to find why there is no starter signal but for now she starts and i can move her around and have all the other items addressed. 20170103_200349.thumb.jpeg.9b0b7b27a09b720170103_172626.thumb.jpeg.42ee20677a04920170102_113758.thumb.jpeg.a80cb968733ac

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
