Guys, CES is one of the Best exhaust fabricators in Australia

Goto www.cesracing.com.au to read about them

All ive ever heard about CES has been good

$650 for this; HPC coated is awesome!!

If we get 10 im in definate.

Wizard count me in for sure as long as i can pick up the dump pipe within the next couple of weeks. I am very interested... Also what would be the difference between the plain steel and the HPC coated?

The $650 price is for 10 steel pipes HPC coated

If we split them up, some with HPC and some without It will adjust the $650 price

Prices quoted were broken up as

10 pipes $530 each plus hpc $120 each total $650 each

5 pipes $550 each plus hpc $130 each total $680 each

So depending on what option we end up with the final cost may be affected

One thing Trevor suggested was that on Skylines with their fairly low mount of the turbo the HPC would have a less of affect and you could get away from not using it.

Apart form the high heat reducing affect from HPC, it also stops the mild steel pipe from rusting, which IMO is worth while.

There seams to be a few GTR owners keen to participate in this group buy. If it was possible to include dump pipes for an R32/R33 GTR in the group buy I think you would make up the numbers required a lot quicker. I would be keen for starters...

We need to get 10 people for 1 type of dump pipe not a mix up of both

CES make 10 at a time, hence we need to get 10 people together for 32/33 GTST to get the better price.

To organise a group buy is a pain in the arse for who ever organises it.

Some people want one, some are interested but do not confirm if they want one, some want one then pull out when it is time to pay which really stuffs things up as it has recently happened in my last group buy for flywheels

I am only doing this so I can get a cheaper price for my car.

If you want to organise a GTR dump pipe group buy feel free.

GTR and GTST are now included in the group buy

Please read the first thread for all the details and prices

Please read the group buy rules aswell.

Thanks

NewB question... what the hell does the waste gate do?? Is it essentially there to create less turbulence as the two exhaust streams meet at a similar velocity?? I'm not too sure.

BTW this will bolt straight on to a stock R33 GTS-t?? If so, is it a DIY jobby?

(In case ur not sure ,I am seriously interested in one of these... just depends on when I can get it etc.)

Cheers.

    • Well, this is probably where a wiring diagram and a multimeter come into play.
    • I can say to anyone thats doing this; having done a number of R clusters; just be careful if its an unknown cluster.  It takes a bit of force to pull up; but if it feels excessive then its probably stuck. I've had this and pulled the entire hair spring out; and I can tell you; its not easy getting the correct spring replacement with the correct inner diameter and winding. In my case someone had used some sort of adhesive to stick it to the spindle and it pulled the whole spindle out; which the force seperated the hairspring from the spindal and caused it to deform.  You may have to clean it (IPA); or in my case if i'd known i should have used some sort of solvent on it.  Also check out Cruizin Central on eBay. He does all sorts of dials; and you can email him with any custom designs you want. So if you want like certain logos etc...he'll send you a mock of what it will look like then you accept the order and he'll take care of the rest. Fantastic dials and he can do basically any design you want.
    • Have you confirmed its the actual axles? Also the wheel bearings that mount on the hubs to hold the axles wear out. I replaced mine as they got play in them. It sorted my play issue.
    • Ive converted a few clusters for the R33 with 320km/h dials. On the back there are some pads which can be bridged or unbridged (using solder or wick braid) to calibrate it. There is one bridge which is for MPH <> KPH; and there are combinations of bridges to offset it. There is probably a diagram  For example; this is my conversion for a 180km/h dial to a 320km/h dial (I put custom GT-R dials on it with the GTS25t layout) If you have J2 soldered (assuming the S clusters have a similar config to the R clusters); you may need to remove that solder
    • Back on topic 😉, these are some of the notable pages from the booklets that are supplied with each weekly parts update. I never knew the BNR32 test mule car had an S13 Silvia front end... *Edit: On closer inspection the test car still had the R32 body, but only the front end had Silvia panels etc.
