"Cold Start" ignition Timing - RB25DET

Anyone able to tell me what the ignition timing at "start" is for a RB25DET. I am using a Wolf ECU, and I need to set at least 35deg for the engine to start cold.

Cranking usually single digits, once it comes to life there are a few tables that layer ontop of each other.

This is the 0 throttle table

Then post start table

Then coolant table

 

Let's say the water temp is 10 degrees C, you would see in the first 2 to 3 seconds about 33 of timing. Not to mention, the idle strategy would also throw more timing at it if needed

Thanks. That must be a much later Wolf. I'm still running a 3D, which doesn't have all those overlay tables. But the fact that you're suggesting the possibility of 33 deg, then my 35 seems not out of order.

Oh that's a Haltech, however an ECU just commands fuel, spark based on the inputs it receives.

So yeah, 30 to 35° of timing advance isn't out of the ordinary.

Pretty sure "a new Wolf" is an oxymoron, that is a real bit of motoring history there!

Jeez. Was there a Wolf "newer" than the 3D. I thought that was the peak.
