INASNT......

at least its a no bullshit power result....eg correct fuel said was used etc etc....car also makes nearly 480 rwhp on pump and tolulene...at 23 psi.....

cheers...

dont think i have seen many 2540s graphs over 500 rwhp... correct me if i am incorrect....

or show me....

CHEERS..

congratulations very nice power there  curious when you say forgies etc, still got standard rods or?

also how much more top end do the GT-RS have than 2530? (e.g HKS rate the 2530 at 320ps each)

anyways all that aside, congratulations, youve gotta be happy with that

EDIT: i know id be extremely happy with 400kw off a set of low mount turbos

amaru...

je pistons, crower rods.. n1 oil pump. tomei valve springs...

power curve is close to my old 2530 setup but keeps going all the way to 8750rpm as shown in the graph...good wide power band for racing .....ha ha..

the 2530s power starts to die a bit at 7500rpm...

also have made 470 rwhp on pump at 23 psi ......

yes i am happy with that power out of any low mount turbo setup...

would have been heaps easier to throw a huge single turbo on and go silly.. but then drivability is out the door...

thanks...

2530s on a built engine running 2 bar.

Let's see what mph Mark pulls as comparison before calling bullshit.

The first chart did 126 mph with a suspect clutch, the second 130 mph.

Both cars were in full street trim and it was a 35 degree day.

Mark I'm glad your happy with the GT-RS's over the 2530's you use to have.

The figures for a fresh engine on inital tune are impressive!

Your Dyno run was in 5th gear, with the R34's lower ratio final drive or was it with the taller 4.111 final drive of the R33 GTR?

A 30km/hr section along the graphical ramp on your power curve, indicates a 250% increase in power.....the other two R33 graphs in the thread, do not achieve this result for any 30km/hr section.

Emre...what gear was each R33 in, when the graphs were plotted from the Dyno?

*The linear power for the first R33 starts to fall away after 150km/hr?

*The linear power for the second R33 starts to fall away before 150km/hr and almost flattens after 150km/hr?

APPLES FOR APPLES.

Power figures are not comparible...unless the cars are tested one after the other, are of the same model, have the same final drive and are in the same gear when the power run is made.

The improvements in Drivability, response and track times is where the real answer lies.

Improvement to the RB26's fuel delivery and breathibility systems, will see the 2530's becoming the limiting facter to producing ulimate/usable street power....the GT-RS's simply are the lastest design and have more headroom.

Because R34 Getrags have 5th gear = 1.000:1 ratio, just like our 5 speeds have 4th gear = 1.000:1 ratio

I gotta say though, I'm confused because those speeds at the bottom of Mark's graph are like that of 4th gear in an R34 Getrag and stock 3.545 final drive ratio

thanks jezzrr. we now have 4.11 diff gears and 5th gear is 1:1 ratio...which is a better indicator for power....

its all good... cant really notice any so called lag with the 6 speed and 4.11 gears...

cheers....

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
