Anyone who can remember back to the Midnight cruise many months ago will want to see this video. Shows the aftermath and the incident itself. Lets try and not make too much fun of Boostzor or Supras in general. I think the price has already been paid

http://www.iinet.net.au/~bsisko/crashzor.avi (7.3MB)

The video quality change half way through is thanks to the bad quality tape that the footage was copied to. ie Not My Fault

Video: DivX 5.0.2 codec

Audio: Uncompressed (I know, I know, MP3 next time)

naysayers!

Yeh s**t happens eh:)

The road was sloped toward the curb and the surface was not really that great. I think i let off a little to much too. Would have been ok if i had of been going a little faster:D hmm im going for drive

Unlucky boostzor... but thats the price you pay for street drift. After I almost put my r33 head on into a light-pole I wont be doing any street drifting from now on, shame wanneroo is so expensive to get on.

So is the supra back on the road after that estimated $5.3k worth of damage? $5.3k spent on the engine would have made a huge difference :D

is it just me or is the vid not working?? I wanted to see it but can only listen to it..(?)

shit, sorry to hear that!

You probably need to get some video codecs, most probably Divx ?

Have a look at http://www.divx.com/

Yep all back up and runnin only took two weeks to fix actually:D The end estimate was only around 3.5k as i didnt get brand new parts shipped but got wrecked parts instead. Thank god for insurance:p well due to that and the last incident they are prolly gonna black list me:( may come down to selling the supra due to the ol no insurance problem. Oh well we'll see in march.:D

Big thanks to Gradenko for editing the vid and to Joe for the original footage and "eventually" stopping:lol:

Well as i always say u gotta find what u cant do before u actually find out what u should be doing. I was convinced i was gonna hit the curb on the right so i steered well clear of it. hmm me thinks bit too far.

"fear leads to oversteer, oversteer leads to curb, curb leads to towtruck and towtruck leads to the dark side (aka insurance companies panel beater)"

You know if the insurance company gets hold of that video they will probably cancel your insurance and bill you for the repairs. Videoing people having prangs whilst doing something stupid on the road is all well and good, putting it up so anyone can download it isnt a very good idea.

Rob

Hmm good point sooo ahhh..... shhhhh;)

Doesnt really show my plates and i wasnt doing anything that stoopid was i:rolleyes: . Besides, insurance companies arnt stoopid if u looked at the damage u would be able to extrapolate that video anyway pretty much. I told em where it was and they saw the damage so they prolly figured i was doin exactly what i did anyhow. Y do u think i pay 2.5k a year for insurance??? fo incidents like that thats y:D

What explanation for it did you give the insurance company then??? :D

it might not show your plates, but it has some pretty good shots of you expaining what happened to your car haha

I don't do insurance - I figure that I won't be doing 2 1/2 thou worth of damage to my car every year, so cheaper not to have any :P

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
