What's the go here with the sending out of membership packs. Apparently, it was meant to be done by the 19th. Today the 30th...???

My brother joined and hasn't received anything. Have all members that signed up at the club open day given address details etc.

I want to see what's on offer with the club before i might be interested in joining. At the moment i don't see much that benefits me.

Regards,

Scott

They have all been made. The membership cards are all done the stickers are there, I even have all the envelopes but now i just have to sit down and write them all out and take them to the post office. FORTUNATELY I own a successful business and my time is precious and I do the club things in my spare time. The skyline club, whilst it is important to me, comes a distant second place to my business and family. If you don't like it, apoint someone else to pay me back all the money i have put into the club and they can have it!!!

Gary

If you want and help, I have more than enough spare time at night and am willing to drive out to your place, help you lick and stamp and write and can drop them off at a post office during the day, anything I can to help out Gary.

I dont mean to stir up a hornets nest, but I really do appreciate all the work you have done for nothing, and will never really know the huge effort you guys have put into making this club a reality, but you know you dont have to do it all by yourselfs, I dont mind pitching in and am I sure if you asked there would be several others who wouldnt mind sacrificing a couple hours of their time for the cause.

So if I can help out in ANY way, just drop us a PM/email/SMS/mobile and I'll see what I can do. I just think that everyone is just itching to get on with being a club, and all we have seen is nothing, but on the other hand you too have a life, which involves priorities above and beyond the club, which I can relate with totally.

So lets all try helping each other out, Gary you have club work that needs to be done with no time. Some members have no work and heaps of spare time.

Sounds like a match made in heaven to me!

Also why not appoint some committee members to handle jobs like this, delegate some duties out so as to lighten the workload on you and also gets the ball rolling?

Just some suggestions.

same here! need any help let us know

its just when you hand over $90 bucks or so and get a T shirt and told the rest will be in the mail shortly, you tend to keep an eye out for it.

Good work Ska & Mud. There is no point in just having a few people running the club when it's going to play second fiddle to something with more priority. Everything takes forever this way. So let more people help out, because even though we still all have higher priorities than the club, it will share the workload and get things a bit more professional.

Please take on board this advice without shutting people down. It just pisses people off.

Scott

ok guys & girls if any one else want to help out give me a PM & let me know have a few people that are going to go out on sunday arvo to help out the more people we have helping the quicker we get done so come on people, gary has done heaps for us so its time to pay it back

I might be able to make it on sunday if I'm able to wriggle out of some boring family commitments. The funny thing is, if enough people turn up, we won't need to mail them out!! Ironic or what? :P

I agree that we need some people with more spare time to help organise things, between myself, Gary and slip we have very little free time. Maybe we could discuss this and try to come up with some kind of resolution on Sunday?

Drewe, follow the link in my sig :)

    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
