Anyone heading to Calder 10.09.04??? I might try out my new mods, and see what im like behind the wheel at the same time......

Any tips?

I've been meaning to get out there for the last month but something has always come up I'll try and get down if work allows.

Tip: Its all in the launch. Get those tyres gripping the best you can.

Also dont do a huge burn out.... street tyres arent made for it... just a small one otherwise u'll make them less grippy.

thanks guys, its really just 1st gear that worries me, not just the launch but when on full boost in 1st gear it axle tramps....

Ahh axle tramp. The point where anymore you get wheelspin, any less you bog down. Tis very annoying indeed.

Look at getting a set of pineapples. They helped me with axle tramp.

a little off topic, but did any of you guys see that purplish/pink mustang hit the wall while he was trying to a burn out at the start line? I heard it was heart breaking, that car was like a starburst on wheels, deliciuos!

... set of king springs got rid of my axle tramp... pretty good mod for aesthetic value as well altho I just have them in till I can afford coilovers...

curiously tho axle tramp wasn't as bad at calder as it was on the street...

have nver been before but want to give my car a run one day so i figure i should check it out before i actually turn up wanting to have a go
