Depends on what you want to spend really

Yokohama AVS V102

Goodyear Revspec

Dunlop FM901's (cheaper.)

Talk to Kosteras tyres in Kalamunda for advice.

They can supply tyres just this side of race rubber if you want to go down that path

Cheers

this is what i'm looking at getting.

712-11.jpg

Kumho "Ecsta Supra" 712: Racetrack inspired, race-winning technology all wrapped up into a high performance street tyre. Race proven technology inspired the development of the Kumho ECSTA supra712 V and Z speed rated directional tyre. Designed to deliver a higher level of high speed performance in hydroplaning resistance and wet handling, the tread’s large lateral and centre channels provide maximum water evacuation for superior wet traction while an advanced silica tread compounding ensures excellent wet/ dry traction and handling. To further meet the demands of those drivers who require the best in handling and traction, the ECSTA Supra 712’s wide tread contact area provides dry grip, stability at high speeds and handling. Its sophisticated, directional tread design offers superior acceleration, braking (especially when rabbits happen to be in your road) and exceptional cornering. Altogether with its European design and styling, the ECSTA Supra 712 delivers ultra high performance, featuring black letter styling and available in 55-,50-,45-,40-, 35-, and 30 series, in H-, V-, Z-, and W speed rated sizes for 14 inch to 20 inch wheel diameters. Now world class beating quality with best value pricing will make sure your customers will know.

bloody pathetic!

as an all round tyre the dunlop fm901s are very good, thats what im using at the moment. the sticker the tyre the quiker it will wear, like the SO3s... depends what youre after. an allround tyre or just one which will get you off the line. pirellis range are also good, but expensive. p-zeros have excellent grip!

Spoke to Ray @ Kostera's and will probably settle on a set of Dunlop SP9000's @ 225/55 on the rear. Only because I've got stock rims and havent got the dough to get a set of 18x9's yet and fit some nice 255/45 tyres :) Cluth and tyres should be done in time for drags on wednesday 13th of november. Whose coming along?

Guys, going to have to do a shameless plug for the boys at beaurepairs in Rocky - they gave me a great deal on the REVSPECs: 2 x 234/45/17 and 2x 255/40/17 fitted for 1k.  Saved several hundred on the list price.

Steve

Who did you sleep with to get that price?

Best price I could get was $1320 from Beaurepaires in Perth area.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
