Genuine Nippon Denso intank fuel pump kit

280 litres / hour - 110 psi

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...item=2493874720

i just get a fuel pump from ebay...can anyone give me a guide how to change it? Better with some pics...hehe...And where can i get the fuel pump filter in Hobart? Is there any thread that guide ppl to undo the dashboard out with pic for manual R33 GTST? I'm going to spray the dash...coz all the rubber drop off......And anyone can tell me where can i get a cheaper alarm and immobilizer installation in Hobart?

i just install a bleed valve to get 0.8bar....the guy told me premium unleaded fuel....only can get up to .8bar...more than will damage ur engine...is not good...and i have blitz POD filter and 3inch turbo back exhaust..next week will change the dump and front pipe and cat to 3inches...then follow by FMIC....

Just wonder like these modi....is apexi SAFC II suit or power FC better? I'm not going to change the turbo...will be using stock turbo...can AVC-R set my fuel map(like SAFC)?

Too many questions in one post, I'll answer two and leave some for others...

The Power FC is the go, you have done enough mods to justify it. You should get around 20 rwkw increase in average power with your mods, nicer running and better fuel economy.

My rule of thumb for a standard turbo is 10psi (0.7 bar), anymore than that and you risk ceramic turbine in the cat disease.

over to others.........:P

To change the fuel pump its pretty straight foward.

***Disconect Battery First***

It's located in the boot next to the battery and below HICAS ecu. you'll have to take the metal cover off and their should be a round black lid like a cookie jar lid. Take the hoses off (They can be very tight) you need to use a lock ring wrench to remove the lock. (black lid) as its very tight. Once you take that off lift the lid up and remove the fuel line and the plug connecting to the underside of the lid.

Then remove the fuel pump buy pulling upwards and remove the fuel level guage - as its connected to the fuel pump. But once its out you can disconect the connect that joins it to the guage and the pump.

Then to put the pump back in, Same procedure just opposite way.

When putting the pump back in their should be little brackets inside the tank you have to mount the fuel pump on it so the sock on the end is in to deepest part of the tank.

The torqe settings for the lock ring (black lid) are:

30 - 35 N-m or 3.1 ~ 3.6 kg-m

Their should be 3 little lines to the top right of the fuel pump on the body of the car.

You have to line that up with the mark on the lock ring.

When you put the metal cover back on the arrow on top should be facing towards the front of the car.

hope that helps,

:P

    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
    • Oh, you are right. But, in Australia E10 is based on 91RON fuel and ends up being 94RON. Hence it being the cheaper option for economy cars. The more performance oriented cars go for the 98RON fuel that has no ethanol mixed in. The only step up we have left then at some petrol stations is E85.
    • There is a warning that "this thread is super old" but they ignore that anyway...
    • With 10% Ethanol, we're talking 2-3% fuel consumption difference. The emissions reductions and octane boost in my opinion far outweigh this almost non existent loss.    My tanks sitting at 80%. Luckily that should go down fast as I'm on vacation again for the next two weeks.
