Are those prices for real????

But yeah you have the idea of what I want to do - raise the height of my stock wing.

But thanks - I knew those extension exisited but we couldn't find out WHO made them. But for those prices forget it. I'd rather buy a whole c-west wing and have the choice of using the whole wing or just the uprights - and I'd still be saving money.

Doh... that price HAS to be for the whole wing...

I read it as ¥20,580... somebody has to sell them or copies of them.

I guess you could get some copies made. But as I have recently experienced, getting things made is a painful experience.

Yeah my biggest concern about getting something MADE is having the wing fall off under load down the main straight of Phillip Island. What I want to do will put greater pressure on the wing - which it why I really want to look the uprights before I buy them.

The stock wing is quite big and I think it would do a fantastic job on the track if it was just at a more useable height.

Snow.

My next project after the Turbo ducts is actually replacing the standard plastic uprights on the GT-T wing with Billet Machined Aluminium uprights which I will design myself.

I'd assume that the same bolt holes would be used on the boot of the GT-T (as the factory would punch the holes) but the top might be different.

I wouldn't thin kyou would have to worry about the strength. I will be making then about 8mm wide and very ridig.

They will be bolting into the boot with a bracket on each side, not just on one side.

I'll let you know when I get closer.

Everything about that upright looks good - except for the base. Looks like its just glued on! And that scares the crap outta me! LOL.

Check out the c-west design. Very sturdy uprights and as you can see a large area where the base fixes - similar in area to the R34 stock ones you can see in the mines extensions above.

I've PM'ed the owner of that car and asked to come and have a look at his wing.

What I did notice though it that his particular mounts aren't in the standard location.

They are much closer together.

I might just go and pull my wing off now and have a look at some stuff.

I'll be back.

Ah, just had a look and it's not as easy to remove as I thought.

I will have to remove all the trim underneath the boot and pull the top off the wing and all that crap.

It's a hour's job to get it off and on again....

i've got a honeycomb aluminium T wing (not the moulded carbon style). Sits about 15-20 cm above the boot and has an adjustable aluminium mount n all. Looks similar to the Jun one, just lower. If you wanna check it out I'll bring it to the next meet.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
