yep Matt I had 330rwkw never got to run it with the more power though before it dropped the ringland, to be honest all my 60ft's were bad hahaha that mph was done doing 2.0 60fts even with a 2.1-2.2 it didn't change more then 2-3mph

Cheers for the info mate. Sounds about right to me - 2.1-2.2 60' and mid 120's with 420rwhp (313rwkw).

RNS11Z and my results are fairly close to. Same mph and similar power 'at the time'.

I can understand why people are getting frustrated with Steve.

He is saying 'we can do XXX with stock injectors' when it goes totally against all therory, and he won't give any hints as to how he has done it.

So what sort of responce does he expect when he won't give any details. This is a information sharing site after all isn't it ?

I think he just likes stiring the pot.

Also, just because the stock injectors are sitting in the rail doesn't mean they haven't been modified in some way.

The thing is if the car goes and does 128-131 mph trap speed everyone here will acknowledge yup that sounds about right, the time itself isnt too important, therefore the setup isnt either. However if it goes and does a 12.2 at 120 we are all going to be thinking hmm sounds a bit low, no matter what excuses are used.

whatsisname, correct. How ever when i ran my car down the 1/4 it was only making 345rwhp (not a dd dyno and not in shoot out mode).

The thing that confuses me is how steve manages to get such power from a gt30 at low boost. When i had my gt30 i had to boost it to 27psi to get to 430rwhp (non shoot out mode). On 23-4psi it made 387rwhp using stock injectors (non shoot out mode). I never had a chance to run it when it was at full potential. I think either steve has figured how to tune 25's with a gt30, or something fishy is going on, or my tuner had no idea!

Magic1's car should run easyly over 120mph if he is making over 400rwhp. Good luck to him and hope he does well to shut some of us up.

H.

answers for all.

R31NISMOID. Not sure of the rear housing, but it was sold to me as a 500hp turbo. increasing the boost saw no gain in the power. so its flowed!

Sydneykid. I must say that you have a very active brain :( , why dont you come to perth and have a look for yourself or do you have a trusted friend here to look for you?

I have had bugger all exprience drag racing, i need more practice. I will be running slicks when it goes to the track as the Motorplex preps their track for rubber based tyres not silica based tyres. thats the only change, i will even have the spare tyre in. My shockies and springs are nismo and are not soft nor drift spec hard, track spec if i had to choose. these will also stay so.

BBQ. 6 injectors, no nos, straight bp 98

Pics yes, dyno yes, video of dyno yes, slicks, see above.

Roy. why dont you come to perth and have a look for yourself or do you have a trusted friend here to look for you? Lets have a close look in the airport carpark after i pick you up. no mechanic, im not. i will bring beer, whats your fav.

RNS11Z. You are a champ, cant remember you nave but who can forget Brisvegas. Cams help bring the gt30 on early and hard. Did i say that your a champ.

Tristan

Please answer my questions.

Can't wait to see how it goes on the drag strip Tristan. Bottom line... enjoy what will be a fun day/night at the drag strip, especially as it appears to be your first time.

Regardless of suspension set-up and your best ET it should still run some fairly decent mph. I would have thought 130mph should be easy enough, given the current power level.

GT30s make there power at around 22psi.

Lets wait till wed week when the car goes to the plex and yes anyone that wants to come here is more than welcome to take the injectors to a test bench to see if their modded.

PPL will cry but to remove excuses Sean tippet(GOTBOOST) is the driver for the nite at the drags.

Have the injectors been hi-flowed? May have been answerd, but i must have missed it.

Is the car allways tuned to that power level every day or was the fuel pressure/boost wound up just to achive 511hp on a ' few ' dyno runs. If not what is the day to day power level/boost/fuel pressure?

Steve SST, no one is having a go at you, we are all just trying to further out knowledge and figure out how we car save some dollars on the way. A great result none the less with the tune, just most people would like to see how you do it with stock injectors. We all just want to see how you do it, and when you say you dont want to tell (sure you may have your own reasons as being a workshop), people start to doubt the result without a sound explanation. How does posting a result with no explanation further the knowledge of anyone.... ? I'm just want to learn, teach me, show me, show us, share the knowledge for the greater good, haha.

WD Magic1, must be an awsome car to drive around on the street, i cant wait to see you run a 1/4 mile, i bet you'll have heaps of fun doing it aswell. Steve SST, well done on getting that sort of power with stock injectors, personaly in your professional opinion do you think it is safe to leave the car as is with the injectors and power level it is running?

Once again well dont steve/magic, very impressive result.

Injectors are stock and yes Tristan is driving this car every day as a real estate agent as it runs on the dyno.Lets get this right 511rwhp is total bullshit but ppl with dynapac dynos say they are the only dyno that is right.450rwhp is our max we have had long term from stock injectors on our shootout dyno.

nope a twin plate bought off this very site from MR33, thanks again MR33

BBQ. 511 is bullshit, i laughed when it flashed on the screen.

Ok well how come the original post is:

The R33 GTS of Magic1 from these forums ran 511rwhp at PAS western salon today on Speedworks Dyno.

This car is an RB25 with Arias pistons GTR rods and 256/264 HKS cams using a GTR cooler and Wolf plugin ECU  and a GT30 Garret turbo but still has stock injectors and intake manifold but Sard reg and 044 pump.

We tuned it to 20psi and 11-1 afrs running pump BP98 fuel.

How much power did the motor put out ? As the original thread states 511rwhp ?

450rwhp is where it is at. Why. other components are falling over or reaching capacity first. Namely the turbo and con rods on my car, we are not even sure if the standard pleum is holding up proceedings like wise the r34 gtr cooler.

BBQ. Please do read the whole thread the answers lie within. I have the new dnyo chart in front of me and it will be posted tonight.

Patience is a virtue

Well unfortunately the original thread was stated that you made 511hp with stock injectors, Now your saying that you only made 450, and the fact that this thread is now 6 pages going on to 7 pages long, makes it a little harder to find the correct answer. So basically you didn’t make 511 Hp as Steve has stated, which he should go back an re-edit the post to the correct figure. Because thier is a big difference between a car that makes 450 hp and a car that makes 511hp.

BBQ. 7 pages, shortest book i have ever read. It did make 511rwhp on speed works dyno at Perth Western Salon, it did win its class and came second overall only to a dyno queen car. a 6l supercharged v8 came third. It was in a dyno comp and on the day all cars were measured on the same dyno. all we are stating is that

1. It was not a shoot out mode dyno

2. I dont believe the figure, it great and if i was selling the car.

3. speedworks would hold a bible to my car being 500+hp

Dyno dynamics invented shoot out mode to avoid this and it should be the standard, how do you enforce it though?

no editing needed.

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
