Sorry Sydneykid for the late reply, as you asked i have been gathering infomation to back up my claim. From what i understand you work for a race car team, use motec in your race cars and are very knowlagable in you area. I am prepared for your critcism and happy to reply, as you keep the thread positive. unlike like the other dicks here.

The wolf is a better computer because

1. Price, compared to the motec of simliair features the motec would cost over $7000

2. Idle speed control

3. it is a true plug and play

4. from exprience the fuel delivery

5. does not need CDI modules to run the coils properly.

6. the wolf has 2048map points, motec 1048

-----------

RNS11Z, i do have cams in the head, 256 in 264 ex, i will confirm mph on wednesday.

-----------

TIMMMAYYY, (acutual Pimp) give me a break you ****ing retard, i will answer your questions when you are polite enough to answer mine.

----------

ronin6 your opinion is well founded, the wolf has very basic data logging, an apsolute must for racing.

----------

rev210 :D

----------

raist60, smoke the coils, i will keep reading, ???????? no idea im not running at over 90% duty cycle.

----------

dnb i would love to , my car is open for inspection, changing injectors not easy, lots to remove.

---------

IMACUL8, i will talk it up, do you have a motec?, if so talk it up. clown

---------

INASNT yes im a wolf salesman, lol. did that take you long to think up.

---------

R32-GTS :D

--------

INASNT another quality installment, do you think before or after you dribble.

--------

BU5TER calling my self not the best drag racer would be to oposite of arrogant.?

--------

RB20LagWagon cry cry cry, yet again.

--------

my car is for real, sydneykid hope this is enough.

tristan

And what do we all expect to happen when he does, he's never been to the drags before ... hell it took me 6 months to get times that were 1/2 respectable out of a 400+hp car, it is not easy at all in a RWD how about we pressure him less and let him enjoy his car and after a few months of racing we have a look at his mph and judge it then :D

I for one don't want to see a nice skyline end up in the wall

there has been way to much pressure placed on tristan

none of this is his fault

his car makes that power full stop. it hasnt done a time full stop. he wont drive it to a time full stop. those are facts, **** the excuses and the arguing, what happens happens.

its a shame tristan is being used as a pawn by others to create arguments or to show off about how good their products are.

Good luck racing it, mate. Post your progress. I will suggest that the mph will be a better indicator of the cars' hp and potential ET's for the first while until you get a handle on the beast.

Adrian

A close friend of mine is one of the directors(owner) of AEM (advanced engine management) the manufacturer of WOLF ecu's.....I will have to commend him on his work next time i see him :)

Maybe he can hook magic1 up with a part time job :)

Magic good luck at the strip, what tyres and suspension setup will you be running?

raist60, smoke the coils, i will keep reading, ???????? no idea im not running at over 90% duty cycle.

Now I definitely think you aint running 370cc injectors dude. Wow! Less than 90% duty cycle on a 370cc injector (which makes 333cc best case) with 300+ rwkws.

CAWWWW!!!!

Ok so i got bored enough to actually do the maths and this is what i got...

Inj CC/Min Inj lb/hour Hp/Inj BHP

370 35.23809524 70.47619048 422.8571429

550 52.38095238 104.7619048 628.5714286

I got the formulas from http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm

Im no mathemagician just wanna show you what the maths says.

    • Looking at the photos, you could easily just drop this pipe and dump into atmosphere  Just 1 or 2 quick hits for data acquisition - if have a heat shield material and/or sheet metal, maybe just use wire/metal cable ties and attach it in a way to deflect heat from melting nearby wires.

    • Yes, well, keep in mind that the air is intake air, which equal boost + possible oil. If there is a fine deposition of oil/scunge that then gets hot and carbonises, it could look just like that. Probably shouldn't be leaking. Might just be normal for that product. Hard to know if it is relevant.
    • Wrapped up putting the motor back in today. I have a stainless flex turbo drain pipe like you see on cummins and that funny enough PRP started selling. I generally prefer these but sadly they come with a finite amount of times they can be bent before they snap. Took well over a week for a replacement to arrive.  I was able to prime the pump but I will more then likely wait until next friday to take it on its madden voyage. I also installed the nozzles for my direct port WMI setup but plugged the nozzle holders for now. I'll tube it with Swagelok SS tubing and fittings next chance I get. No rush, i'll be breaking it for a week or two anyways.
    • I could definitely do some logs without the VCT enabled for sure. I believe we tried it on the dyno and it still spiked but wouldn't hurt to try again and have the logs    I might be able to use some metal cable ties and hold the gate open entirely, I'd need to see about that one.   What do we think about these marks on the cap of the actuator? This is where the two parts push together where the diaphragm spring is. To me they look like air has been sleeping past?? Specifically talking about those black stains above the lower rim/lip. They can be rubbed away as if it's just an exhaust stain.
