Slotted Brake rotors - can anyone hook me up with a good deal?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

need to get hold of some front brake rotors, DBA 4000 series, part number 4963, to suit R33 GTS25T front rotor, left and right

Does anyone know/or can get hold of these for a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Group buy would be good, but I need mine for 22nd of November, as I have a few days off to get my car up to scratch for a upcoming track day

Joel, was that price for slotted rotors? Autospeed want around $270 ea

Might even go with machined up stock rotors, being a fiar bit bigger than the R32 rotors, they should still work better even if they are not slotted

Chris

Autospeed are rip offs.. :P

Discpads want $184 each.

What pads have you been running Chris?

I ran Bendix Ultimates (~$100 a set) on new rotors quite some time ago, through the hills I couldn't get them to fade.

The pads only last 20,000km's though :)

Yeah, I thought Autospeed was a bit pricey, although a few places over here have qouted me $350++

What rotors did Autobarn price you on Joel? as that price is very good!

Pad wise I ran Ultimates, but found them too dusty, so when I got the slotted rotors I ahve now (standard R32 size) I got a set of Racebrake RB74 pads, which are by far the best brake pad I have ever used, so I will be using these again. Also been on for 25,000kms, so they last a while, and living in the hills, the brakes are used quite a bit

32/33 pads are the same thing aren't they? I have about 40% left on my current ones, and was hoping to use them

We are in the market for a full set on our r32 GTR, need them by the end of the month. Group buy anyone?

I'd be keen if you could get a decent price for DBA 4000 series - part no. 4963 - 296mm slotted rotor to for R33 GTS25T, left and right :P would need them by the 22nd or 23rd of November though.........

Here's the prices I just got from Autobarn.

DBA Slotted Front - $229

DBA Slotted Rear - $229

DBA 4000 Slotted Front - $240

DBA 4000 Slotted Rear - $240

EBC Dimple & Slot Front - $289

I swear origionally I was priced in the $180 range. It was an older bloke that quoted me, he knows of me so maybe thats why I got a better price origonally?!?

www.discpads.com.au appear to still be the cheapest.

He did say however that they possibly can do a little better on the price. :P

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
