At our most recent REACT club meeting our Clerk of Course has said that hooning around will not be discouraged at all.

Tyre smoke will not be frowned upon as long as you are attempting to complete the course. A static burnout will be frowned upon, as will doing donuts and both will earn you a chat from the CoC. That said, there is a lot of latitude in what "attempting to complete the course" means :P :kewl:

I received an entry from "SupaFly Skyline" yesterday - the first skyline to enter :(

Neil - could you send me a competed entry form with your details? There are now 4 places left and I'm sure we'll get people trying to enter on the day. I'd hate for you to drive down from Sydney and then not be able to compete.

You can sign and pay on the day but if I have a form I'll hold a place for you. Send it to [email protected] (I've PM'd you too)

See you Sunday! :burnout:

And he's running an R32,,,COOL,,,now all we need is an R34 and thats a full set. Shelly buy one in Yellow tomorrow.

Save me a place Saru,,,I'll be there.

Neeil.

Thanks again for a top day Ben, had a ball!

Neil great to meet you, and i will practise my handbrake timing for next time.

Everyone else, you missed out on a great day, hope to see more of you at the next one

Yep Andrew and I had a ball. I did my usual 2 wd's but I'm used to that. I've finally got the handbrake/powerslide thing down pat. Now just gotta teach Andrew as well.

I'm itchin for the results,,,I might have made the top 10.

Neil.

Yeah, had a pair of WD's, spewing as one of them was on my last run of the day and thought it felt a lot faster than the first run on that test

I think the trick to the handbrake/powerslide thing is the timing, isnt it?

muahahahaha its all about the WDs :(

yeah timing....and remembering to put the bloody clutch in at the same time :D

top fun, I love any sport where they want you to drive sideways all day :D

well done Neil, were there only 10 competitors or are you getting better :D Looks like the pulsary won't be returning, right?

Well seems I came in 12th out of 42 cars,,,.The results show I wded the last course which was the "Oh what a feeling" but thats crap,,,I did a 29.39 and a 29.13 with no penalties. I don't really care cause it was all in good fun and I won my class anyway.

Duncan I have the h-brake/clutch stuff sorted and I started trying different approaches and what seemed to work was when I had enough speed up going to a flag I pushed the clutch in and rolled into the beginning of the apex and then used the combo again. It made the back of the car much more settled.

Yep now that I have the rotor I can't see me stuffing around with the Pulsar,,,Mind you,,, you know you only ever have to ask if you need help with the 810.

Neil.

well done guys, but I am intrigued, what class was there for skyline, "RWD Land Whales"? ;)

BTW datto has new axle thanks to Neil, now just make sure it fits, weld it up nice and tight and I will be out terrorising 'khanas again :)

810 :(

BTW datto has new axle thanks to Neil's Fantastic EB Falcon S/W Tow Car, 810 :(

So would you like me to see if it fits next Saturday?. Here's the plan,,,you work on the GTR and Tosh and I will do the 810 or I'll do the 810 on my own.

Neil.

hey mate...thanks for the offer (and the edit ;)) at this stage its all gtr next weekend in the outlandish hope that it will hit the road one day. I might just try and sling the axle in one night this week, shouldnt be too hard hopefully.

I'd love to know how to get those damn broken axles out though :( maybe i need a bigger hammer and pry bar

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
