Who else would be interested in an Apexi Power FC Boost Controller Kit?

At $987.00, the Power FCs aren't all that cheap (especially for R33s), but if we can save a bit of money on the Boost Controller Kits at the same time, then the offer will start sounding a lot better.

So, yeah, Lucien, can you ask if he will do a good price for Boost Controller Kits as well? He should be able to offer something, considering we're already throwing $30,000.00 at him.

yeah im interested in the boost controller kit.. very interested and the other person im buying one for is kinda interested too.. im just worried that this idea is a little too late.. hmmm hope he can do a deal on that too..

Well, we've got a whole week and I'm fairly sure there would be a lot of interest, assuming Nengun can offer a good price. Maybe $250.00 extra, or something?

And I'm still hoping they will reduce the Power FC price too, given the number of orders. Especially for the S1 R33 units.

Lucien, after some research and some advice from a few people on this forum...ive been convinced that buying a PFC would be a wise nxt move...

So please put me down for an R33 GTS-t Series 2 96

can you please just pm me the payment details etc. etc....

Lucien, You gonna have a great time sortin this mess out here!!! haha. Glad youre havin a weekend off. Your doin a great job handling it all and i'm sure we all appreciate it alot! Just one quick query when you get back, You said we must pay by a "cutoff" date, 26th i think it was. I've seen a few people ask here if it's possible to pay before then, as like the others we have the cash ready to go. Or will you wait till later on in the week to see what other great deals brent has to offer

Cheers

Richard

Just another quick note to P1E, You said they aren't that cheap. You probably seen on nenguns site that powerfcs are going for around $1035 not inc delivery. These prices keep on dropping due to the good exchange rate at the moment. About 6 or 7 weeks ago i was looking at powerfc's and they were selling for about $1300 not inc freight. And on another note, where in australia can you buy a new powerfc plus hc for under $2000? I know i haven't seen them anywhere!! so i reckon this is a bloody great deal!! Just my 2 cents.

Richy: Just to clarify, I am saying that the prices being offered for this group buy do not seem all that good relative to Nengun's normal prices, not relative to Australian prices. With 30-40 orders, I am hoping Nengun will be able to drop the group buy prices even further (especially for S1 R33), or offer a discount on the Boost Controller Kits. If not, for $92.00 extra, I might end up waiting until after Christmas. Just my two cents, but I think others feel the same way also.

Guys, I'd like to propose chipping in together to buy Lucien one of the boost controllers. It'd work out around $10-12 each, and I think a nice way to say thanks for all the stuffing around he has/is/will go through.

Any thoughts?

Mark

Hi All,

Just this second got home. The net was too slow when I was away, so I will answer all your PMs and questions tonight (just need some time to unwind and eat).

Lucien.

lucien i am down dude.

i have pm'd you

please email me on [email protected] with information details.

money is waiting.

ALSO im still unclear about teh tax thing..

the FINAL price i am paying for it to arrive to my door. is $990aud yes. there are NO hidden taxes or costs i hope. otherwise i am not interested.

Ok,

I have gone through all the PMs and emails I recieved (and replied where necessary). Of the people who originally expressed interest it currently stands as : (REMOVED -- PLEASE SEE THE LIST IN THE FIRST POST)

Now, a couple of the people in the unconfirmed list told me they would be out of contact, so that's not a major concern: I still fully expect 20+ confirmed buyers.

Please read this carefully: If you are in the unconfirmed list, and should be confirmed, PM me. If you are in the confirmed list, please check the model number is right (this is crucial!). Finally, if you are unconfirmed and not interested in proceeding, can you please do me the courtesy of letting me know so I can scrub you off: there is no shame, so please let me know. ;)

If you not on either list, don't fret: I will now go through the new replies and requests to be added. Expect to be contacted shortly.

Regarding those asking me to ask for a better price: I am waiting to see the confirmed numbers. Even if there are 30 confirmed, I would be suprised if the price drops. Why? Because you are getting atleast 10% off (depending on model) what is already the lowest price in the market. Again, if I can go to Brent with a huge number more, he may be able to do better, just don't hold your breath. ;)

Lucien.

Hi Again,

I have just contact the people who aren't on the original list and have subsequently expressed interest. That is...:

Peter Wilson

R3AP3R

Mason

paulr33

blues15

Blitz

Guilty

STU E

Coupe-This

If I have missed your post/PM/email, or you want to be added, let me know. ;)

Lucien.

If we can't work something out with the Boost Controller Kits, will we at least save on postage? How much will a Power FC and Boost Controller Kit set me back, inc. freight etc?

I am pretty certain we can get 10-15 people in for Boost Kits though, assuming Brent can offer a good price, so please do ask.

It's a bit of a catch-22 at the moment, because I don't know whether to confirm if I am only looking at a $92.00 saving, but on the other hand if I do confirm there is a higher chance of seeing a bigger saving.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
