Mokompri u said earlier in the post that the SR20 has side feed and are 370cc and the S15 red tops are 480cc

now i have a RB25/30DET and was going to try and adapt some GTR 444cc injectors but if the SR20 S15 red tops are 480cc would they be a better fit and just be better then the GTR Injectors??

how much am i looking at for a Set of these red top S15 injectors as i need 6.

Well they won't be nismo ones because they are pink, so i dunno....

actually yellow ones are also nismo :) .. and nismo are the only ones that make 555cc injectors afaik, but they are def. nismo ones

HYBRID VL, well it depends on your fueling needs really, if the GTR 444cc injectors are large enough then go for it... if you want more headroom or just plain need it, then yes s15 red coloured injectors are good, although the problem you have here is that people sell them in sets of 4 cause SR's are 4 cyl's :)

although i did see someone selling JUST 2 S15 480cc injectors on ns.com for dirt cheap, and then you would have to source another set of 4.. dont know if they are still there... or your other option is to get 3 sets of injectors with 1 other person, 3x4=12, then you split them between 2 people = 6 each

Back to the economy side of things.

I would be interested to see the setup of the S15 injectors (2pintle or single) as they get good fuel economy in my friends S15. (500km's easy to a tank of petrol)

FMIC, 1bar, EBC, Exhaust.

I am putting s15 injectirs in my Rb25det

They are a direct fit

I have chased up 2 sets of 4 thru NissanSilvia.com for $300 a set total $600

I will be selling 2 for $150. PM me if you are interested.

This way you get an upgrade for $450 a set of 6

From what i have read on the silvia site S15 manual turbo injectors have been quoted at 448cc and 480cc. 448cc seems to be the most common quoted flow

S15 auto's are quoted at 370cc, but I can not confirm for sure, only what I have read.

448cc will be good enough for upto 260-270rwkw which is more than enough on stock internals on a Rb25

I am chasing 240-250rwkw so these should workout well, and do not need to spent the extra dollars on 550cc

i got sard 550cc when i upgraded my turbo. still get the same 400k to a 55lt tank with a bit of hard driving as i did with the stock injectors. say 1/5 of the distance reving out gears. If i drive hard a hole tank im looking at 300-270k. they cost me $100 to get fitted and sealed no probs. I personaly have had no probs with them, i got them because they were the cheapest aftermarket bolt ins i could fined at the time, $900 with collars.

So your 100% on this darren? You just take the old rb25 ones out and fit these? Fit perfectly? Same clips?

Any real world examples?

Also is there any way to know they are the manual injectors if the auto ones are 370? hate to buy another set of 370s by accident!

I might take those 2 injectors though, are they still in box etc?

If you are 100 percent sure they are a direct fit and same impedence i wouldnt need resistor pack either then i might get in contact with u if u still have dem after christmas if not oh well its my bad luck just money is down at the money from bloody chrissy shoppin lol.

yer examples would be great.

and part number also.

Damn i dont think i even got 400km to the tank with the stock injectors!!

What ECU fuel pump are you using?

I think you'd want to make sure on the s15 injectors.. as there are a number of different types.

There is something like the "R spec" ones having the larger ones, or something like this, but not the "s spec" S15's.. I remember reading it was all the aussie ones (or maybe the earlier ones) are meant to have the smaller injectors, whereas the jap S15 had the 480cc injectors...

Somebody should be able to clarify this, as the info on n.s. can be inconsistent at best.

They are a good option anyhow.. Wonder how much they are new from nissan ??

S15 manual injectors are a red/brown colour

the part number is 16600 91F00

Auto injectors are a purple colour and are the same as S14

http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/tech/partnos...s.htm#injectors

after market injectors like Sard 550cc etc are the same part number for Rb25det and Sr20, so the factory S15 and Rb25 should be the same as well.

I am getting the injectors at the end of next week, so I will be able to confirm more then

The ones I am getting are second hand for $300 set of 4

Brand new ones from nissan are $257 plus gst each!!!

Geeeeezzzz there exspensive brand new geezzzz.

ok well if they fit 100 percent i will be looking at getting 6 of these injectors for my RB2530DET.

if there the same impedence i wouldnt need resistor pack either aye.

i've also got sard 550cc injectors in my rb25..seem not too bad on fuel - about 300-350k's (used 2 get 400k's)..hard 2 say with other mods all done @ same time tho..

a bit costly also around $1200 for the 6

You are definately using a R33 RB25DET head Hybrid VL?

Just curious as the other day you were asking about using the RB20 inlet manifold and mentioned some thing about R32 RB25DE.

From his posts on http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/index.php he is using an R32 head..........

im not sure i have a RB25 Non VCT i dunno if it was non turbo or turbo.

dunno how to tell either.

another strange think i noticed as that i did a Compression test and it said

#1 = 91psi

#2 = 90psi

#3 = 90psi

#4 = 92psi

#5 = 91psi

#6 = 92psi

now are these Readings normal for a RB30 with Rb25 head?????????

nah i was just asking if the RB20 manifold would fit on the Rb25 head as i would use that so it would be easier to fit GTR injectors without having 2 make mods on the RB25 intake manifold.

but as i was told the ports in the runners are alot smaller.

    • Man, different parts but the same numbers is terrible @dbm7! And it doesn't help that most online shops don't list the part numbers at all. They just give a list of compatible models...
    • Slow when hot could also be because its getting more dynamic compression, OR things are getting a bit tighter once it is all expanded. If it were an earthing issue, typically I'd expect you to have it have issues all the time. Unless it's really a combination of both things. Where the higher compression, and things being a bit tighter, is giving that bit of extra load and you do need a slight clean up on the cables/connections.
    • Yeah, this is one of the most annoying things about nissan part numbers... I've got an unrelated example... Image is of the AT output shaft ~ they have the same part#, but clearly the shaft on the left is beefier design to that on the right ...the difference (essentially) is the 'lighter' shaft on the right, is for engines up to RB25DE (this includes RB20 variants) : the shaft on the left is for RB25/26DET(T)....are they interchangeable? Yes...but obviously one shaft is going to be stronger than the other...and, the lighter shaft is around USD115, but the heavier shaft closer to USD150...same part#... ...epc-data usually tells a tale ~ the amayama listing for 39100-23U60 has a note "Longest side is between 60 and 105 cm" ; no such info is there for 39100-23U70 ...and given the great disparity in price between the 2 parts, it makes me at least curious (to the point of caution) where the 'extra money' went? ...ie; these 2 parts have a cost difference that (to myself at least) isn't explained by 'plastic boot'...ie; with amayama there's AUD700 price difference ...plastic versus rubber?...I'm not seeing it like that...and 60cm ~ 105cm...??...that's a huge disparity....something hinky going on here... I'd try searching by VIN, not model... /2cents
    • I don't know for sure, but I'd expect them all to be interchangeable given the diff end and hub end don't move/change between any C34 series. Often Nissan will change part numbers and the aftermarket follows those year ranges; but the original part number change doesn't mean other parts won't fit. The change could be a change in material, internal parts or even just supplier. For example, all the RB gearbox to engine bolts are no longer available and there is a new part number instead. The only change is they went from cadmium plated bolts to zinc plated due to the issues manufacturing with Cadmium. They look different but work the same.
