Thanks heaps Erin for the pic.... Car looked sweet today until i got it wet on the way home and dust stuck like glue to finger tips... LOL (Done that a few times)

As for the wheels.....

It was upon leaving i puller over just out side the car park.... (Honest truth was i went into the bushes to have a quickie... LOL no really a leek) When i come back to the car my gf was going back to the canteen to get an ice cream. Anyways i thought id walk down to her and look on the way... Once we got back, a guy with a tyre iron and a jack was just un doing the first nut... I yelled out and he dropped the jack and ran into the bushes with the tyre iron.... Dont know who he was or where he was from... but yeah... not good....

Was not very happy.... Should have been lazy and driven back the whole 100m....

Thats some f**ked up sh1t... Own up you low life!

I knew i should have gone to the toliet....

But damn i really needed to go after i went over the bump at the gates.....

Oh,,,, it felt so good too.... Going in the bushes beside the road is the best....

did you keep his jack? bet if you did in a couple of days somone will ask if any one has a apare jack for sale.

I can't believe somone would do that especially somone from a skyline club :kick:

should of followed him and flogged him with his own tyre iron. if it was me i probably would have lost my temper and beat him up (no good on my behalf) :flamed:

I know he was with us on the ride cause the jack is a skyline jack... Same as the one in my boot.... I threw the lever at him but it hit a branch and i kept the jack....

Come to think about it.... He could have just been an average joe there already and stole the jack and tire iron from someone elses boot????

You guys had better check ya boots... LOL

I still have your jack... but the lever and tyre iron are gone....

col-gtsx, that's seriously some f**ked up sh*t!

at least he actaully didnt get away with it i suppose.. but yeah, if you're on here, i wouldn't be owning up to it if you really want to keep a 'good' reputation....

anyway... good cruise, lots of skylines, lots of pics, lots of sunburn

i friigin missed it, i slept in till like 10, and i live an hour away from the start point and have no idea where lake baroon is so i am pissed off:( oohhhh well sounded like a good day anyway, so what was the final figure on how many cars went???

Damn fine effort made by all who showed up on the day, 'cept for the knob who thought a set of VOLK's were easily taxed(F@CKHEAD!!!)......

cheers for a great day,Erin top job!!!!!

    • 12+ months passed so they have no obligation to do a warranty claim. It leaked from the rear circuit. Front circuit was fine, but I tried many times to bench-bleed and in-car bleed (wasted 1L of Penrite racing brake fluid) to no avail. Threw my old BM50 or whatever the standard R32 GT-R BMC is, brakes went back to normal. So from my very limited anecdotal experience, I cannot recommend HFM, even though a lot of their products looks good. Just my experience (I have a genuine Nissan BM57 in a box waiting to be installed now).
    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
