So where are the pics of you Batsuman and Tarzan dude? :)

A highlight of the day was of course the drive...me not waking up on time and thus rushing to the event. Nothing like cold fresh mountain air - boost cruziiiiing :).

I stayed on 140 most of the way over, but with so many GT cars travelling together on the highway it was just too hard to stay under :). Justin had a bit of fun with a black Altezza ;)...so much that he miss the exit!

----

Me: what's he doing? we've got to exit!

Glenn: (funny fark counting down towards the exit) 500m, 400m, 300m, 200m, 100m...

Me: (fiddling with the mobile trying to call Justin, but at the speed we were crusing at, the exit came and gone before I could even dial), dude we missed the exit.

Justin: we did!

Me: OK next exit is Mimasaka.

Disclaimer: driving at high speeds and trying to operate a mobile is not recommended by untrained professionals.

---

On the way back it was painfully slow the last 15km due to roadworks...curse them for working on a Sunday night argh!

The Hakusuka was by far the main highlights of the day for me...f**k me dead they are so beautiful and so many of them. I'm sure Glenn will agree, the majority of our photos are KPCG10!

I'll have my pics up later in the day or tonight...

Yes very disappointing there weren't many RQs :D I guess it was just too cold...

Yes, the drive there was half the fun! I'm glad I could cruise out there with you Troy... seeing as it'll probably be the last time down the Chugoku expressway for you. Nice drive.

And I gotta say: Damn! Those old Skool Skylines RULE! :(

Dave, the Hakusoka are the goods mate...never will I see so many in the one place at the one time.

My favourite also are the March Cup cars...but unfortunately we missed the race. The cars were driven by many big time drivers. With all the cars the same power, it was only skill that can help them win the race!

Wow Rezz those pictures are amazing, glad to see you snapped a variety of cars that most can only ever dream of seeing, the HKS ZERO R and Tomica DR30 come to mind.

Great pictures mate.

also I see you met Raman Yamada, from what i have been told he is quite a character :(

Raman?!?! Yamada

Eiji Yamada you mean, yes he is a real character also met him at OAM ... Tarzan may know how to swing from tree to tree, Tarzan can drive like no other, but Tarzan know NO how to drift a work trolley :(:).

Exculsive pics ;) after closing at OAM!

I locked the other thread so we could have uninterupted pics until the end of the Nismo festival posts... not pics/random "Rezz I love you's"/pics/random I luv U's/pics etc... ;) hahahaha shuddup anyway! I can lock it if I want *mimicks Kayo's impression of Troy "driving a car"* :D

wow i am speechless they are some of the best photos i have even seen i am still trying to wipe the drool from my face maybe i should go and find one of my daughters bibs before i continue reading :D rezz i am on the edge of my seat waiting for more

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
    • Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there.  Thanks
    • All that matters is you're safe and you were able to type that post. Hopefully heaps of parts you can recover for the next shell.
