just a quick update, the committee has decided to make it open to members only, but available for sale to the public. Basically as an incentive to those that paid to be members.

$50 ain't a bad tradeoff for a sticker, a lanyard, the option to get a cams license AND to be in a photoshoot.

narkeh, what about that boatyard you me n ula did some pics of our cars at?

Only 4 cars turned up today. 3 members and 1 non-member.

Greg was not to impressed with the light @ 6.30 so we had to wait a while B4 taking any shots.

Not to sure how the shots came out?? Greg can you post some pics of the shoot up? Or do you want to keep it under wraps for now or untill product is finished? Anyway, you can send the shots of my car to [email protected]

Next location????

well well be shortlisting the candidates, but so far we don't have enough to fill up 12 months so atm its open to any member

well if thats the case i will turn up to the next shoot...

if it wasnt stressed in this thread that only the names on the list turn up today, i would have rocked up...it seems there were a few cars only.

The shoot was really a test, but now I have a good idea as to what we're dealing with. Sorry for making you guys wait so long - I think the best way to attack this is just to get one or two cars at a time, and work from there.

The earlier shots were OK but nothing really stood out. I did manage to get some great shots of Matt's car later around 8:30-9pm which I believe are keepers so I'm confident we've now got one month down at least.

-Greg.

greg, do you wanna post up a timetable of availabilities, and locations you wanna try out, and then we can get the fellas here to put their names into allocations to meet up with you.

Here's some availability:

Thur 30th Dec - 18:00-21:00 - Anywhere?

Fri 31st Dec - 07:00-09:00 - City area

Sun 2nd Jan - 18:00-21:00 - Anywhere?

Mon 3rd Jan - All Day - Anywhere?

Tues 4th Jan - All Day - Anywhere?

Wed 5th Jan - All Day - Anywhere?

I'd like to have 2 or 3 cars to shoot at any time. And also, shoots can take a while so be prepared to wait.

-Greg.

I'm keen for shot's in the city... but not on NYE05... can another day be allocated for the city too?

Put me down for another shoot on either 3rd all day or after 6.00pm on 4th if you think I need other shot's done (last location was not ideal - my pick :D)

Can ppl start throwing in some ideas for good locations so we can pick and match according to Greg's timetable.

this should definately be a spot... apollo bay and the park in geelong which looks out onto the bay

these were taken 2 years ago

also some shots around the city with some views of melbourne landmarks....

also added a few from my uncles farm which is quite scenic...

theyre in the gallery.

Farm is up in Seville... around the lillydale area.

im sure he wont mind us coming out for a photoshoot on the weekend as long as we arent being stupid etc.

just remember that if u do wanna do it out there that guys with lowered cars will need to take it ESPECIALLY careful as the roads are bumpy, gravel and potholed.... but nothing the soarer or my cousins mates extremely lowered skyline cant handle.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
