Well I'm gunna have a serious go...

is it ok to remove all the pipes from the turbo to the soilernod

What solenoid? Is it stock? Or part of a boost controller? Why do you want to remove all the pipes? Pics...

as i put a boost controll on and i run it form the turbo to the wastgate

What do you run from the turbo to the wastegate? What boost controller?

and can you tell me what some cheap things to do to my motor is to make it faster

Define cheap... Whats done ATM?

DIY: Boost Controll

Many of you may have been fooled into buying bleed valves, in some cases even expensive electronic items. All i can do is frown at this behaviour. You have all you need to make your own at your local hardware store! What your going to need for this exercise is a piece of vacumm hose, prefferably long enough to reach from your actuator to near your pod or airbox and a screw (pictured below) and a screw driver (philips head)

After obtaining these items you need to decide one of two things. Just how much boost do you wish to run and whether or not you want to be able to adjust it.

OPTION 1) Run the vacumm hose off your actuator with no screw in the end. This method is very effective performance wise, however it MAY lead to destuction of things such as your turbo. Not to worry fuel cut will save you. This method shows how truly hardened you are and indicates just how much boost your stock turbo can handle before literally throwing chunks of the exhaust wheel out your exhaust. Some may view this method as a little extreme even though it has proven promising on certain cars . Not to worry option 2 is for these people.

OPTION 2) This option is for the light hearted. You take your vaccum hose and bring it all the way to near the pod. You then use your screw and screwdriver to implant the screw in the hose. (seen below) The further you screw it in the less boost you will run. To get maximum performance we suggest road tuning, to optimise the boost level.

what are we looking at in the first two piccies??

am i correct in assuming it's the vacuum hose coming off the actuator??

i hope no-one has done this to their cars. seems seriously dodgy to me.

lol yea, as josh said we did it to his car and it held boost suprisingly well. And his Apexi boost controller was crap and didnt work, who wants to go around on 7psi, something had to be done and this was it. Dodgy? yes. dangerous? probably. Did it work? You bet ya...:(

interesting.

just let me know how long your engine holds up and i'll consider doing this to my car.

though i suppose it sure beats spending hundreds of $$$ on electronics that don't want to work.

I have now sold the car; I had this dodgy item on the car for around 6 months with no signs or ware and or damage.

As it was only holding 12psi.. There should be any difference between that, and 12psi on a real controller.

I had a compression check down before the new owner got the car, and all was fine. The turbo was in ok condition for a car with 140,000kay.

    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
