Does anyone know how to remove the rear seats ( so as to remove the parcel shelf for speaker and grille replacement) ?

I have taken the two bolts out, but theres two nylon looking clips that are holding it in and I cannot work out how to release them... I can see on one of them (which I am thinking might be in backwards) a little tab at the back of it... I am thinking this is supposed to be pushed (but I think the bracket is backwards as this is at the back behind the steel loop from the seat frame.

Any one offer any advice?

Thanks

Conrad

I'm so glad someone else had problems with getting the rear seats up.

After about 40 minutes of swearing I found out that basically you grab the seat really good just near the nylon thingy and pull straight up towards the roof. And pull HARD....

The other way of doing it (and it's a bit more controlled !!!) is to get a loooong screwdriver in next to the nylon thingy and leaver the seat up.

Basically all it is and a thick loop of wire on the seat that is pressed into the nylon thingy that mounts into the floor. And it's a damn tight fit.

Guys, if you search the site, you'll find th answer (I know cause I asked the same thing)

You just get a big mutha of a screw driver - stick it between the bottom of the seat and the chassis - then heave it !!!

I've done this now 8-9 times - works every time - no damage done.

    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
