RB26DETT behind auto box?

Would it be possible to have a RB26DETT linked up to a auto gearbox?

well u can line a gtst box upto a rb26 so yes u could put an auto gtst box in

more likely u would want a race box put in not the crappy gtst slushbox

There was an RB26 with auto in a GTST at the last drag day I went to. They were having problems with it that day though.

But it will go in front of it

Your main problem would be the electronic control of the auto... I doubt the RB26DETT ECU sends the correct signals to the auto ECU

Depends on which way you are looking at the car

BTW, if your running an aftermarket ecu (as Id guess you would be going for a drag set up) then is the ECU really going to be sending messages to the gearbox? And would you not be going for a nice big built box with a big stall etc???

Yeah I was asuming he was talking about a standard 33 auto box... If he's talking Powerglide, et al, disregard my electronic control comments... And add in bellhousing / crossmember comments...

I have RB26dett ive got a powerglide behind it by using a jatco bell housing,hugo adapt,6cylinder powerglide case as they are two piece case,can change the bell housing

Keep an eye on Zoom magazine, they are doing a 4 door R33 with Auto RB26.

They put them in Stageas (RB26DETT+auto), so you could probably get a Stagea ECU to run the whole shebang.

LOL, the reason why I'm askking is because my mum won't let me get a manual because she only drives auto Yes, i'm asking about an RB26DETT Behind/Infront of a R33 GTS-T Auto Box.

So if i get a GTS25T box it would be ok, but just ecu problems yeah. Ok then, I'll have to live with a RB25DET then...
