No probs Matt, you're off!

IMO they're not worth paying more than $200 for as its not a huge upgrade over the stock ones. If I can get them for close to $200 I will be happy but if the cheapest is $300 or more then I don't think its worth it.

Still haven't heard back from Greenline.

Nengun haven't replied at all, nearly a week later.

Haven't heard from MSI or another supplier in Melb yet either!

Will have to do the ring around I think, these people don't seem to respond well to email!

It's not like an Official Group Buy at this point anyhow.

If I can get the part cheap, whoever is interested can buy one at the time

Although there is no great news I thought I would update the thread, so you know I am still working on it ;P

Prices are NOT looking good so far:

One supplier has quoted me $440 each and another supplier said $950!!! Though I suspect this is incorrect - he wasn't a sales person and the right person will be calling me back.

So far:

MSI $200 - can't get in touch with

Greenline $374 - still waiting for bulk pricing

XXXX: $440 - ?

XXXX: $950 - prefer not to name them yet cause I usually get good quotes

Nengun: $??? - no response to email yet!

XXXX: $??? - no response to email yet!

For reference Nismo list them @ 29,400 Yen ~ $371 AUD

Since it's Nismo you should be able to get it through Nissan. I think we have a good contact at a Nissan dealership up here.

If you want me to look into that pm me.

666DAN / HKS34R: These pics should help

Thankyou NismoR34.

As I have never seen one of these consoles, how big are the gauges?? I'm looking at getting one of these to host a series of aftermarket gauges, cos it looks stock, hence no defects. Would HKS or Blitz gauges fit??

HKS34R:I believe blitz & defi have gauges that fit into the console, can't remember size though - its bigger than 52mm, the 60mm gauges are probably the best fit.

AboBob: PM'ing you now!

If you can get me a part number and indicate how many units you are interested in purchasing, I can call around and get a price for them locally.

:)

Nismo Part number: 24845-RNR40

Minimum 3 units at this stage, given some time, maybe more.

Thanks!

Just waiting on my friend who used to work for Nismo to get back to me with some contact details for someoen who may be able to help. It may take a couple of days, but I will get some kind of answer, as soon as I can...

Cheers..

Hey, IM also trying to work out a deal on some Carbon Fiber bonnets at the moment. Once I have all the details I may put together a group buy... what do you think? I already know I can get them and for a reasonable price. its just the shipping I am concerned about...

Depending on the price of these bonnets I may be interested :D

Don't have heaps of cash atm but yeah let us know approx cost when you can - even a before shipping cost will help! Cheers.

Greenline have quoted me a much better price for 5+ units ordered: $310 each - approx at current exchange rates!!

Obviously we would need 5 people to get that price though.

Still waiting for 3 guys who are chasing up prices for me by various avenues

Much appreciated!

Dale

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.

I got a price directly from Nismo, but its a bit more than what Greenline have quoted. For 5+ it would be about $330 at todays exchange rate. I was warned by Nismo to look out for cheaper fakes that are going around, so I thought I would pass on that comment.

Cheers,

  • 2 weeks later...

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
