My cousin got his intercooler stolen in broad daylight.

it was a hybrid 600x300x75, the only thing that was hold the intercooler up was the support bracket at the bottom and the inlet/outlet hoses.

ie 4 bolts..

they also took his BOV, 2 bolts

bleed valve and pod filter..............

Not happy chappy, cant go fishing this weekend

must be pros cause its hard to pop the bonnet with a screwdriver.

When you think about it nobody would give them a second glance.

If I saw a couple guys with the bonnet up on an import with tools I would just think they were fixing something.

But they would still have the risk of the owner returning. Where was the car parked and where was your cousin?

Is it possible they knew he wasnt going to be coming back for a while? i.e at work?

he's from QLD, but just on a 3 month transfer to NSW. The took it while he was at work.

he parked it somewhere in parramatta, but i guess they sussed him out cause he had parked there for over two months now with no problems.

wasnt the cooler supported at the top?

if so the front bar would have to come off

Ehhh who cares bout that. Some f#ck has taken it now. C#%s who steal need to have their balls tied up to a short rope & pushed out of a tree. Although its pretty unlikely i hope some1 seen them & you can get a description out of anyone to report to police.

NO SHIT!?!?!? That's f*%$ed man!!!

geno8r: i like the way you think :P just pissed myself laughin at your rope to balls and outta tree comment... GOLD!!!

bangahh... not trying to profiteer from someone elses miss-fortune but i have a spare front mount at home i am going to sell if you're interested... (just send me a PM if ya are)...

The police really need to set up Stings & why not start with Parramatta. I'd love to be a cop just for one day in a Sting waiting for some f#%@ to try & steal stuff from a planted hot car.    I'd have no problems using excessive force.

do you think excessive force would be catching the mother ****er and letting him go a round with my little baby pitty, or would that be going a litttle overboard

hey, most of the time if the cooler is supported from the top you dont have to remove the front bar, you can easily access the bolt and slip the cooler out the bottom of the bar (usually the bars are trimmed so easy to slip it out)

Cooler support at the top is just another two bolts. Well makes me want to spray my name on cooler just to make it worth less to potential theifs.

well they did take his BOV, POD, Bleed valve from the engine bay.

It sets him back $1000 and he's still paying it off like most of us do and a day looking around Syndney for parts.

well anyways he went and got all the parts today as it happened yesterday.

ohhh yeah, someone also stole his digital camera from this Pram while shopping in Liverpool Westfields also with his kids.

so he's got a string of bad luck at the moment.....

Lol, why not, what ever works :)

I'd love Australia to have a law like they have over in Egypt.

The Government says: "You steal; we cut off your finger. We catching you steeling again; we cut off your hand"

You raise the punishment enough I guarantee you'll get any message through.

What is this world coming to. :D

Indeed

I've just grabbed the latest Autosalon magazine & there’s great story, a near ‘possible’ death experience of criminals trying to steal this guys highly modified GTR. Its a top read, had my heart pumping *seeing it was actually real & not a movie* The event itself of course wasn’t great but the story was very well told.

thats f%$^ed my skyline is off the road at the moment (incident with my mates tow bar) and the other day i came home and the front bumper was ripped right off the left hand side. good thing i have 2 rottwielers other wise they probly would have got my standard cooler

F%@$%&%@#$

can we start a petition about that man, sounds good. I didn't think middle eastern countries had much going for them in that respect, but hey I like that law man.

Although it should go something to the tune of punishments in the order of offences

first time, prison instantly, no good behavior shite here

Second time, Beating from the person you stole from

Third time, Appendiges being cut off

mark

Well makes me want to spray my name on cooler just to make it worth less to potential theifs.

That's not a bad idea actually. Maybe not on the front, but on the back, so it's easily identified. Perhaps ingrave your end tanks with you name and address? Perhaps everyone can put SAU and their username on their cooler so that if anyone hears or sees anything, they can let that person know.

Did the car have an alarm? I can't imagine parking my Skyline in a dodgy area if it didn't have an alarm.

    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
