Ha ha- well, after checking out the "fragrance fairies" (i kid you not) on offer at SuperCheap the other day, I'm sold!

My vote - I'd be happy to pay for a new car with leather interior smell : )

Not to mention helping a fellow SAU-er get a business going!

Those clip things here in perth are $4.50 from Kmart! they are by far the best. You get 4 per pack and I only use 2 on my vents at a time on the middle ones lasts about 2 months then use the other 2 for another two months! i buy them in black so you can barely even notice them..... so my car smell nice without some peace lovin hippy tree thingy floating around in plastic bashing the crap out of the plastic and giving me headaches....

clips are my favourite!

those ambi pure are $6 from Kmart.... Perth.... the home of cheap smelly stuff :-)

I love my Shell Lavender car deodoriser... its about 5 bucks, but goddamn it gets rid of any smell possible, comes in a vaporiser bottle (not one of those ugly things you hang on your vents which eventually breaks it), and smells awesome.

You got no option for "I like what I have and will take something that shoots fireworks and butterflies when I spray it to make me change"

I would never use an air freshener because of allergies (eye's water, cant see the road etc) but i reckon there'd be a huge market for smell neutralisers because even when i'm in a position to import a car from japan, one thing that's really putting me off the idea is getting stuck with an interior that smells of smoke, which i cannot stand...........and considering that the Japanese are some of the heaviest smokers in the world, i cant imagine the chances are that slim.

there must be a market for a oder killer product in the jap import market..........i'd definatly pay for a top shelf one that did the job if i needed it.

i used Febreeze every now and then in my r33 gtst (sold) to keep it fresh and an excellent odour/bacteria killer. Don't like air fresheners or such as it would leave a lingering smell. Now I got a Magna with leather interiors, but would still used it on the carpets and other fabrics parts.

    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
