Lol does anyone here pick on learners?? ( im on my learners )

i just got home from my sisters, had my brother and my niece, and nephew in the car with me in the magna ( 1987 ).

this dude with ( i think a honda civic ) stops at the lights next to me, it looked pretty decent, starts revin his car and stuff im thinking to my self "what the f*ck", anyways, lights go green, i took of normal style at a fairly decent speed and i hear this guys car it was so damn loud, he must have been pushin it hardcore.

funny thing was, my bro's magna with 4 people in it took of faster then his honda even though i was driving at a normal speed, it was the funniest crap ive seen in a long time, then he just takes of like a crazy man.

this was on beach road, couple bad accidents around there so i stay on the speed limit.

I bet if i wasnt on my l's he wouldent have bothered to do this lol.

back to the question, do any of you guys do the same thing ? if so ITS LAME lol.

are you allowed to have passengers in your car other than an instructor whilst on L's?

yeah im alowed to drive on my l's as long as someone with 5years + driving experience is with me.

What suburb are you ?

My wife runs one but only in a certain area around Ballajura/warwick/morley

And she doesn't take any shit...lol

Cheers

Ken

Years ago I used to get a Learner in the middle lane of a three lane highway dn then cut laps around them in my RX3, it would ahve been a little intimidating as a little lime green 2 pack RX3 came past on one side back tyres a smoking then chnge two lanes in front of you and then cut back and do it again..

Since then I have grown up, sold the RX3 and now I only tangle with Learners in ym wokr car.. Most Learners up here are in Landcruisers and since my last car was written off by one, I am little weary, the work Landcruiser on the other hadn is indestructable!!!

    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
