  1. Hahaha, I agree with above. 1 passenger per car is optimal, 2 a little bit shit.. 3 not an option. I have a large rear cross brace across the floor in the rear of the car so passengers have to contend with that and I also don;t move my seat forward for passengers. AND I do not wisht o have to get out of my car like a chauffeur to let some out of the the back. I did take a few people to Balls in my 180SX, but the GTR is a different ball game all together. Race suspension also seems to make people complain..
  2. My 2 cents: Running 265's in the rear and 235's upfront is a significant offset difference for the wheel track. This needs to be compensated for in your driving style. But by the sounds of things you don't have a huge amount of skill. I think you're running too much negative camber in the rear, the tyres look okay, but I can see more wear on the inside, this means that you do not have the maximum contact patch when cornerning. When you approach a corner, do you have what is known as "viscious turn in"? I do get a little hardcore on the turn in when I want sideways action, or when I am getting over zealous at the track. Try to be smooth with your steering inputs. Slow in, fast out. Great words that should be applied to every corner. Are you taking into account the camber of the road when cornering. Negative effects of camber on corner ability are amplified in the wet. Wet roads (especially freshly wet roads) are usually very oily as well. My advice: Get suspension setup properly Drop to a 255 rear end, unless you seriously need 265's for traction, don't go any wider than you need to. Do a defensive driving course, then a track day. Never ride a motorbike, shit will get ugly in a biblical way
  3. Yeah good day, I ran well below my target due to boost and probably some other issues. Have a long hard slog ahead of me in regards to finding and ironing out the bugs.. Hopefully one day I will make some decent power again.
  4. Just got word from Abdus that that GTR is ready for tomorrow. This is pretty damned good. These guys are great. So I guess I'll need that Dyno Form now after all and I might even need to take it for a quikc blatt to do some boost controller tuning.. Since coming down to Perth, I have found a great place for my bike and my car. Bring on the 400+
  5. Cool cheers, I'll be the one that looks lost and looks like I don't know anyone.... Cos I don't...
  6. Just got a call from Abdus at Tenegah, the GTR may or may not be ready for this. I will be rocking up anyway for a look see and to meet people. If the car isn't ready, I'll donate my spot to the most deserving individual. I didn't print off the form, as I only got the call after I left work and don't have a printer, although Tenegah have my car at the moment, so I guess they understand a bit about it and me.. It will need a boost tune though as the AVC-R will be miles off and likely to attempt to run infinite boost.. Might need a few quick back street runs for tuning first.
  7. Well even if the GTR isn't ready I'll be there, either in my bunky or maybe even on the Aprilia if it is registered..
  8. My Car is at Tenegah now, so if it isn't ready for the dyno day, then atleast it can be there to see it..
  9. Has been postponed until 1st March... See you all there then..
  10. Hoping to make it to the next one if I can.
  11. If you are keen on doing anything or actually have no reservations about working in an inferior job for a year or so, try and get into a lerger company straight away.. Contracting companies are nice, but until you get into the prime company, you'll be behind the 8 ball a bit.. An operator or TA job might seem a bit boring at firs,t but show initiative and you are on your way to getting places.. I did 8.5 years in the NW working for the same company as a contractor and employee, now I am contracitng back to them at consultant rates in Perth, mostly due to my experience in the industry, knowledge of the systems and people and also because I went that extra mile to help out when necessary.. You get extra $$$ for it, but in the end it is noticed by those that count.
  12. After 8.5 year in Karratha, the boom has allowed me to become a consultant back to my existing employer, but now I am in Perth.. I always go against the flow though!!!!
  13. Shot from up north, prob my fav shot of the car.. From my first inspection of the car... and a shot of that big FMIC Thats all for now folks..
  14. In the last line of mods on the GTR, I replaced the water and oil line on the turbos with stainless braided lines and applicable fittings.. I went with the Horsepowerinabox line kits x2 and heap of additional fittings to get everything correctly hooked up, there was a bit of work in it, but at the end of the day it is far far better then the solids that I had before. It did however cost quite a bit of fold. I ended up doing about 3 orders in total and Maurie and HPIAB helped me out with all the fittings that I needed. If i had access to my old emails, I'd tell you exactly what I got, but I just moved and my PC's are in storage.
  15. IF the Priller is ready, I will be heading down on that with my housemate on his GSXR1k.. If the Priller isn't ready, I will be heading down anyway to help out the PSB ladies and gents. This is a good event, so get behind it. Or get there to stare at behinds.. Not mine though as that is just sickening. The bike guys are pretty cool and a bit more freindliness between the cagers (us) and the riders will foster beterr future friendships. You will also get a chance to get close to some really nice bikes that you might not otherwise. PS, for the ladies, I think there will be a few guys in kini's there, though judging from last year, they might not be to everyone's taste. You have been informed and warned all in one.. No seriously, this is a good day and it'd be nice to see a few SAUWA ppl there too..
  16. Sorry double post lost connection to server and tried again.. My Bad!!

  18. I am booked in at Tenegah for the 12th, so all things going well I should be able to pull decent numbers on the day. Well decent for me anyway.. Nothing ground breaking or winning worthy.. Really looking forward to this now.
  19. Not exactly new to SAUWA, but I am now residing in Perth, rather then in Karratha, so I will be at the Dyno Day at Tenegah in a few weeks. I think my membership lapsed or something as I don;t show as a member anymore on the forums, no biggy, but I do still have my membership card.. #54.. After being up norht for so long, I am looking forward to getting into a few SAUWA events with my car.. The only cruising I have done in WA was with SilviaWA who let me cruise in my rental car when I came to Perth, as my old 180SX was well known, as was I, to the rest of the club. Hoping to meet a few new people, get into some in depth technical discussions about modifications (watch out, being in the Pilbara for a long time, gives one time to think and research mods extensively, including hundreds of hours on Desktop Dyno selecting the perfect camshaft profiles) and generally socialising with like minded people.
  20. Please PM me the payment details and put my name on that list. The GTR is a little low on power at the moment due to leaking ex manifolds, but I might (highly unlikely) be able to get that sorted before then. Either way, it would be good to get a sheet for the car as it is now back in Perth after a long stint up north. Also my first SAUWA event. Haha..
  21. Excellent timing as my GTR has just blown the front CV joint on the drivers side. I might get them both done at the same time to bring her back up to spec.
  22. Well thats cool, as I have a lot of parts off my S13 on the GTR. THough the GTR is in need of some attention now and since I ahve moved all my tools are in storage, it is time to let the baby out to a workshop me thinks, just need to find some one I trust now that I am living in Perth. It would also help if I could get my Aprilia back so I would have some wheels.
  23. Try Tem,pe tyres, they send tyres via TNT for like $10 a piece, and the prices are really good. Last time I got the RT215 (semi slick Falkens) for the GTR I got them from Tempe.. Great guys..
  24. Hey grandpa, saw this at MV on Sunday as ppl were packing up.. Nice clean example, I think I miss my S13, the GTR just isn't the same..
  25. Try JTB Australia.. at http://www.japantravel.com.au/ and click on the "Rail Passes" button on the tob bar, near the right side... That's about as close as you will get unless you can find a travel agent to get you one cheaper.. Have fun..
