Can you please tell us a bit more about the car to help interstate people a bit more?

Scratches or dents? Has the car been in any accidents? Resprayed?

Compression tested the engine? Leak down?

etc?

The body is in vgc, had the roof sprayed as it had some dents on it, the previous owner reckons he didnt have a garage and and some branches etc would have fallen on the car as he lived neat the bush.

No dent to think of a few littke scratches on the front bar.

Ive been meaning to compression test the engine at work just have to get around to it.

No leak down test performed as i have neved had the car at a mechanics.

Thanks for that mate...

Would probably help interstate buyers a lot if you could do the compression test and swing by a panel beater and ask them if it's been in any accidents...

Would make the decision to fly over to Melbourne that much easier if those two factors were known :D

When i had the roof done my panel beated did check it over and said the only think he seen was the front bar was replaced and it had a aftermarket fibreglass one on it.

my guess is as good as anyone elses to work out what happened to the bar.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
