Skyline R33 T or a Skyline R34 N/A

Recommended Posts

Na 34 does not have the same brakes and other differences inbetween the cars...

Plus you have the re-sale point of difference. No matter what you do, its still only a N/A version. Plus mod plates, plus insurance costs as its a non standard turbo. The list goes on.

The cost tot turbo it would out weigh just buying a turbo one in the first place....

I wanted a 34 but the cost is a little too steep. A good S2 R33 is less than 25g now. Insurance is not too bad either....

For me 33 = 1300 per year

34 = 2300 per year...

Go figure????

I had a series 2 R33 GTST, which was stolen a few years ago.

Instead of buying the same car i bought a R34GT.

I know the GTST is definately quicker but i wouldnt say that much quicker.

It really depends on what u want. Personally im getting a bit older and i dont need the speed factor.

Also IMHO the R34 looks nicer of the 2.

In terms of running costs I only need to have a service every 10000 instead of 5000kms. Tires and brakes are not replaced as often.

Fuel is about 3/4 of what i used to spend.

Insurance is the same though.

Figure out what is important to you. If u enjoy speed then the R33 GTST is for you.

BTW there are 2 people who have turbo charged their R34 GT, Dan666 and HKS34V ask them how much it costs. Im pretty sure they were quite happy with their results.
