Thanks liz!! :)

shhh wylie!!!! don't give away my techniques!!! you'll spoil alll the fun! ;)

hehehe.. mike... don't you always get shot down?!?! poor boy :P

:) yeah... that will definitely be something to tempt them into buying skylines :D

i knew YOU would hvae something to say about it thomas!!!!!!! :(

hehe sorry moans ! i cant let this go on..

i cant let any more poor unwitting men fall into your dark schemes ! :)

** Long Crazy Story.. Read on only if youve got time to kill ! haha **

( or if your a postwhore.. aiighhtt :P )

i.... (yes i know its hard to belive) ... i nearly fell victim to one of moonies EVIILLL traps..

i was just crusing round the forums.. lookin for nice zorst to buy

when... there it was.. (its obvious now that it was too good to be true) a shiny perfect condition fujitsubo powergetter zorst.

so i PMed the seller very exitedly to arrange a pickup, all was going swimmingly

the day came to meet up so i could get my lovely new zorst, so i puttered down to the drop off point in a conservitive camery alteise, looking out for a freindly skyline owner

when i arrived.. i found that the meeting place was an old abandoned maccas out past the end of the M2

as i hopped out of the car i watched the tumbleweeds roll throught the empty carpark,

there mustnt have been a person for miles around..

except... for a suspicious looking silver R33 at the far end of the carpark

being the trusting kind person i am. i didnt think anything of it walked towards the lone skyline.

i noticed a few things about the line on the way over that didnt sit quite right.. it was absolutly filthy.. the brake dust on the wheels had tried to rebuild itself into another set of pads, there was so much of it.. and there were stains near the petrol lid.. almost like it never had had a petrol cap fitted ever.. but the strangest part was.. the tint... it was as black as night..

i approched the drivers window and gazed into the tint.. i couldnt see in at all.. no light could escape the tints deadly embrace..

just then.. the drivers window rolled down.. i jumped back at the blast of cold air that swept out from inside the dark cabin..

and then i heard a voice.. "do you have the funds"

i replied "yes, do you have the merchandise ?"

the boot popped open... and there was an inredible chrome aura from around the exhaust..

it was gods zorst

i was too stunned to ask any questions.. so i just passed the money in through the window

and walked around to pickup the exhaust, i carefully lifted the exhaust out of the boot and walked around to thank the stranger for their kindness

the voice replied "i dont think this will cover the expenses...."

i said.. im sure its all there. i counted it this morning

"NO................ I WANT YOUR SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!"

something struck me in the chest sending me flying across the carpark.. the zorst hitting the back of the camery..

i thought this is it.... im dead....... what a way to go

from where i was laying i could see the door inching open.. the darkness seemed to be flowing out as the door opened...

my only chance was to fit gods zorst onto the camery... only then was there a chance i could get away.... i began to drag myself towards the back of the camery and i heard an evil laugh booming from the end of the carpark..

"YOULL NEED MORE THAN THAT TO GET AWAY THIS TIME WYLIEE !!!"

shit.... i fumbled around and tore the old exhaust off the camery it fell away to dust as it hit the concrete.. i slowly rasied gods zorts into place.. it mated perfecly on the camery long sliver strands of chrome binding with the stock pipes..

there wasnt much time left as i turned the key...

it turned over first crank. and i was greeted with that heavenly fujitsubo note..

and to my surprise there was no nasty exhaust gas coming from the tip.. only baby foxes

i stepped on the gas and started to accelerate away as a massive blow struck the rear right quarter panel.. sending the back drifting out at angle that would make a D1 verteran blush.. luckily the front wheel drive toyota allowed me to correct as we passed under the delapidated golden arches and the the relative saftey of the M2...

i dared not look back as a raced away from that carpark.. worried to see the silver 33 persuing me... but this time i was lucky.. i made it out with the zorst... and the respect....

so thats the story of how i met moonie..

some say it didnt happen like that at all.. and what really happened was i chatted with a lovely girl for a bit.. swapped zorst and then cruised with a stack of other skylines to bathurst...

but... ill let you decide on which story to belive.. i think its pretty obvious :(

:) omg!! thats priceless!!! you're really very creative wylie!!! :P as for which story to believe... hmmm.... i'm a nice girl!!! comeon!! why would i prey on harmless, slow, camry drivers?!?! reaalllyyy!!!!!! why would I!!!!! *sly look* you're lucky you got that head start wylie! :(

I belive the story, moonie pie, may have a innocent looking, J-Lo ear ring wearing look about her, but deep down, she's a man eater. so watch it.. she'll chew you up and spit you out... thats the only reason she beats guys when they race... to scared to show her up :)

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
