Alcoholic R32 GTS4

Hi guys,

Does anyone have an idea as to why a GTS4 would only do 300km per tank of fuel? This is starting to get expensive to run.

i think 300km per tank is normal

my gts-t did +-300 km

now is doing 250

oxygen sensor is probably dead, check out maitenace thread for 02 sensor.

i would love to get 400 everyweek...i've had a few times where i've had 430-450 but that was travelling up to the central coast every week or so. would be awesome if someone found a solution to the problem

I got 500 once when i went to nelson bay and i was wrapped but latley it sux.

Might try to chanche the oxy sensor and see how that goes.

My Rb20DET around locally used to pull a consistant 470km's per tank.

All were short trips hooning to Uni and back.

Check the O2 sensor, Ecu's coolant temp sensor, dirty injectors and apparently the AFM can also cause bad fuel consumption.

Dropping the RB30DET in dropped fuel consumption to 430km's per tank.

The base map of the PFC has now bumped fuel consumption to 520km's per tank.

i get 450-480 per tank on an rb25

Clean the AFM and probably your filter as well if oil saturated type.

Had to wash my K&N panel 3 times before came clean a while back.

hmm well depends on if we are going for a full tank eg 60L as i always fill up at around 53 - 55 litres and am getting around 480 - 510km's around town. Went to newcastle and got 580kms off 58.5L

Leech, I fill up around the same as you. 50-55litres depending how low I run it with the light on.

Generally 50litres is pretty spot on with when the fuel light comes on.

yea strange i might be mistaken but i though my late generally comes on at around 46 - 48L which seems very early but meh fuel level gauges are always so dodgy i just go off how many kms but my car is also fairly stock at the moment only thing is a full 3" turbo back exhaust when i put the panel filter, bleed valve and fmic on i can see it dropping a bit hopefully not alot though

I've managed to get 59litres in to it once.

The fuel pump (external) had a surging sound and if you accelerated harder than a feather it would die in the arse.

Not good for it but.. oh well.

better fuel economy in Rb30det because of lack of throttle usage...im quite happy most of the time putting around off boost....it has the same feel as the rb20 did on boost
