Good news, they should be here within 2 weeks, so I'll PM off DD details sometime this week.

It's $110 + post now :)

Yeh, Great news :)

B.T.W. I just saw almost the exact same wheel nuts on NENGUN for something like $230 per set delivered to Aus. I like $110 much better :uh-huh:

ed,

Just a thought. You might want make the maximum torque value "bold" on the original post so you are less likely to get people stripping the nuts and complaining. I know many people who believe that wheel nuts are not tight unless you stand on the end of your breaker bar and socket. No Joke !!

And just for info sake, 120Nm = 88.5 lbf-ft ( foot pound ) for non-metric idiots like me.

Guys,

So sorry, I am being stuffed around by the supplier.

He is now telling me this week or next week.

I give up.

:P we all have days like that.

the question is, do you think they will make it or not?

If this falls through ed, let us know straight away. Dont keep us hanging.

If all fails we can arrange a group price from greenline. They do Rays nuts for like $150, so with 10 ppl we could get it down I imagine. I also have another possible supplier of rays nuts. same colours.

Guys,

Sorry for the slack responses from me.

Have been haggling and busting the suppliers nuts.

They have been sent via EMS so I should get them sometime this week unless he is lying about sending them out :P

DD details will be PM'd tonight.

If this is how the maker/supplier treats his customers...how do any of us know that the product we will be getting isthe quality they claim.

Im out. I want my wheels staying ON the car.

For the extra 80bucks or so to get Rays wheel nuts. At least I'll know they are tried and proven.

Phil M

ed please comment.

If we're not getting them...  I'll organise a Rays wheels nuts group buy.  Will be a maximun lead time of two weeks.

I think we "might" be best to see what ed has found out as I just had a look at the Rays wheel Nuts on Greenline and for the longer nuts ( the ones I'm after ) I calculated the cost to be 210.72 ( 17,140 Yen ) PLUS shipping etc.

I know that the Rays ones are different since they are 7 sided nuts and not 6 sided like normal / the ones we will be getting.

But after saying all that, if this group buy doesn't work out, I'm very interested in a group deal on the Rays nuts if the price is right :)

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
