Recently I replaced my engine oil of my R33 GTS-T with the Motul 10w40 turbolight.. and since then I have been running pretty high oil pressure.

On start up it will idle at around 4 (whatever the messurement is) then if i drive say a couple minute after start up and at around 2,500rpm the oil pressure will be at around 7.

Then on normal driving once the engine is up to temp it will be around 4 again.

Is that normal for that kind of oil or for the engine?

Any help will be much appreciated.

strange how much oil did you put in cause i actually found that it was a little lower than before. I run the same stuff and its on about 4 at idle as well but it only gets up to about 5 - 6 max never over that then at idle when warm is down around 2 and just below 4 when driving normally. you sure you arnt giving it a bit of a hard time when its cold

Ive heard the standard oil pressure guages arent much chop so i wouldnt really worry yourself about it. Maybe get an aftermarked one with a decent sesor...

Also i dont really see the point of an oil pressure guage, i mean by the time there is a problem your engine is already dead :headspin:
