Josh is gonna get :Owned:

I'm not going too win, I know that. I never said I would. I’m going because its a track day, and Mr. fullysic made some claim which I want too see him back up. The Porsche isn't set up for tracks banana bitch...

In saying that, its never lost when up against mild worked Gtst's and I can keep up with GTR's.. When out on the "private" highway.

Every one who knows me, will know that I’m a skyline person I don’t give two hoots what it’ll run, I’m going for fun, not too beat some little up start who makes “E-claims” over a skyline forum. :D

OK! So what did Sir Fullisick say? Did he say RUFs are crap? Cause they arent.

But if hes the guy with the big stickers that was at powercruise... then yeah, I saw it, its pretty quick.

I wouldnt mind taking the ceff out... But I dunno... Id feel out of place... AT THE FRONT!!! :D

(jokes btw)

I’d just like to add, I never said I’ll win, my intention was to make Mr. fullysik back up his statements.

If I win I want Beer though. :D

Oh you big fibber you did so

LoL!  I think its fast tho...  Porka should be up the task tho, if its a REAL RUF, should be easy!  :D

BTW, if its a real RUF, Id like to sit in the car for a bit...  I like them a lot.

It’s a real RUF shell… (Yes used to be LHD), It’s been played with quite a bit though now. Depends how much of a purest you are, as too weather you still class it as real. The Shannon’s value is leaning towards yes, so that’s gotta say something for resale I guess.

Nexus. Didn’t even know what I typed lol until you quoted it. The posts never lie though I guess. Heh I’ll be owned. I don’t care. It’s a cheap track day. Will be funny too see how well his over powered Gtst goes through the corners. My advantage is torque out of the corners, where as he’ll have lag city me thinks.

Quit beating yourself down Josh...  Talk it up son!  That's what the intarwheb is for!!!

I’ll wait until the track day. The motor isn’t even back in the 911 yet. It’s an unknown performance package atm. We’ll shall see soon enough I guess.

Nah Mr. Fullysik is too hardcore for me, last time I spoke t3h smack talk, some lame work shop on the gold coast wanted to beat me up at Jamboree, and sent me scary emails.  :ghost:

LoL! Funny as. People must think your a sucker or something aye.

hmmmmm, a familar problem. Lots of people talk it up, but when it comes to putting it out on the track, where its controlled and legal, all goes quiet. Come on guys, lets make track days a regular club event, its worth every cent! Get to know your cars ability and more importantly your own ability. . . . .

    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
    • Neg, the top one is actually for the front. The sizes are 18x10.5 +18 and 18x11 +32.   I measured many times but I'm sure I'll have problems as this is the thread for problems.
    • Just one thing; tapping tapered threads is tricky. Taps are always tapered and you would generally run it as far as you can, but with a tapered thread you have to stop much sooner otherwise the wide part of the taper will run in too far and you will have to thread the sensor in too far too as well (possible that it will never make a good seal) BTW nice wide wheels, I guess the top one is for the back!
    • Welp, good to know. Will have to wait awhile until steady hands with drills and taps are available. In other news, these just arrived! I will weigh them for posterity. Edit: 11kg each (or 10.9/11.1 depending on what my scale decides over multiple tests, the 18x11 don't seem to weigh noticeably any more than 10.5)
