I think the writing is on the wall for this day. I will probably cancel the booking soon. I don't see us getting another 30 odd cars in the near future.

If you want to run this event at my other track day on Monday May 9, thats cool. We can integrate the day. I still have heaps of spots free for that one, I have to have all payments for the May 9 day by Monday 25, else it will be cancelled.

More details?

thread is posted in the main section josh, check it out and get ya name on the list.

Edit:- sorry to hijack thread, i would so be out there for the track day but my gearbox is not up to it and i dont see it being rebuilt anytime soon. otherwise id be out there lookin for a hsv gts to mop the track with repeatedly

You already have reasonable numbers for the day on the 9th of May. Why not combine the showdown with the 9th of May run. Seems to be a little difficult to get people to two runs in one month - so move the showdown forward.

Well we could use the lap times from the May 9 run (from those who can make it) as the base line for a challenge for the year.

How about after the May 9 run I start a Sticky thread that has the best lap time of the Skylines on each track at Queensland Raceway. We could then have an awards night near the end of the year. That way as long as everyone makes it to at least one track day they will be entered.

Ok. I'll start the thread after May 9. I need everyone who can make it to get behind that day to get it off the ground. We will make it Round 1. (not real confident May 22 will go ahead)

With classes I have also found that track (slick & semi click) vers street tyres makes a big difference. We could have seperate classes or make it the Street Car challenge and only allow street tyres.

How about:

1. Outright Quickest GTR

2. Outright Quickest GTS

3. Quickest R34 GTR

4. Quickest R34 GTS

5. Quickest R33 GTR

6. Quickest R33 GTS

7. Quickest R32 GTR

8. Quickest R32 GTS

9. Quickest R31

10. Quickest R30

What do you guys think ?

Oh yea, it will also have to be an event I time with the electronic gear, as the normal sprints are timed by a guy clicking a mouse button as you go past. Not exacly accurate.

780hp at 3500 rpm?

you sir are full of shit.  Ill believe it when i see it.  Incidently sau qld is holding a dyno day on the 21st perhaps you should come along and prove your hp claims on a dyno infront of everyone.

Niz33 and I, are pretty sure we spoke to this tard last Sat night and springwood maccas. 800hp, I think not. 300hp-400hp, only due to the fact he was using happy gas spray.

What's even more funny, He openly said his car made "800hp" :P

Another funny comment was, "Nah not on SAU/Duno about it" Followed by "Whats your screen names"

    • Are you suggesting that the kit did a cheap and nasty job of just jamming the wheel in between other things and caused the misalignment? I mean, we normally do this with an integrated crank trigger wheel, not something bodged on. It's not 1995 any more.
    • I mean, given the number of BMWs you own their tolerance for improper torque is rather low. The number of torque + angle spec bolts and non-reusable bolts in one is nuts.
    • Atmospheric vent requires something that doesn't use a MAF for load. You would need a standalone ECU for that.
    • Hey all,   I’ve got an RB25 with a trigger kit that includes a crank wheel, and I’ve hit a wall trying to sort a timing belt tracking issue. The belt either rides right on the edge of the cam/crank pulleys or walks slightly forward once the engine starts. It tracks okay-ish for a moment, then creeps right to the edge—and honestly, it’s stressing me out.   I’ve spent hours removing and reinstalling the belt, double-checking everything:   Tensioner setup is good, checked multiple times Idler pulley and washers are all in the correct places Followed the RB25 timing procedure step-by-step     The only thing I changed was the rear crank washer—I swapped the OEM one for a Neato version, and it made things worse. The belt now sits even more forward than before. I’m beginning to think the crank trigger wheel itself (from the trigger kit) is the issue—poor design or slightly off dimensions.   What’s strange is that with the previous belt setup, it actually ran fine for a couple of years—around 4,000 to 5,000 miles, even with hard driving and high RPMs. But even then, the belt was always riding right on the edge, and I know that’s not ideal or safe long term.   At this point, I’m debating whether to:   Machine a few mm off the crank trigger wheel to bring it back in line, or Replace it entirely with a better-designed unit     Only thing is, I already have the Cherry Hall sensors, bracket, etc.—I just want to replace the wheel only, not the entire kit. Anyone know a brand or supplier that sells just the crank trigger wheel on its own?   Would really appreciate any feedback—especially from anyone who’s run into this exact issue and found a reliable fix.   Thanks in advance.
    • Hi...a little refresh. Is Nistune gonna be enough to run BoV? Or do i need some proper ECU?
