Hi people,

Go read SPEED magz issue 12...

there is a contest between 4 cars, GTT vs Supra vs RX7 vs S15....

SUPRA came LASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT....

Sorry to see it.. lol

It might be fast in straight line but GTT will out run it on corners anydays...

BTW... for those who wants to know the resaults.. RX7 came first..

GTT is a good everyday car.. (i know i have one, use it everyday)

S15 ... is king of drift..

Supra... not much to say abt it... lol

r34 GT-T definetely... lighter, better looking, same amount of power standard  only downside is that it has a less amount of torque due to the supra having an extra 500cc n havin twin turboz instead of single

yep just took delivery of my GTT and have clocked close to 2000k's in 3 days! I can't stop driving it, its a brilliant machine with a great all round package, even in the tip-tronic. My old R33 doesn't hold a candle to the 34's stiffer ride, running gear, traction control etc. etc. etc. Not the quickest car in a straight line but in the corners it makes me smile ear to ear. Can't vouch for the RZ's performance although I dont think I'd swap this thing for anything but an R34 GTR

Where can I find out more about issue 12 of SPEED magazine?? can anyone turn it into PDF? is it the latest issue?

Supra any day. A GTT isn't even in the same league imo.

Read some PRO's advice (SPEED) be4 u start to give stupid comments...

and what different league btw??

JDM vs JDM

FR vs FR

Tubro vs Turbo

both 14** kg vs 14** kg...

both 206kw stock????

WHAT different league???????????????? :headspin:

Stupid comments? Let me clarify my post then.

By different league i meant that the Supra is a GTR competitor. Sure they're both JDM and FR platforms, but I wasn't saying that they are totally different cars.

The 343Nm of the GTT is quite a bit lower than the 451Nm of the Supra. That's almost 1/3 more torque. That's like comparing an RB20DET powered GTS-t and an RB26DETT powered R32 GTR.

BTW you really can't compare the power ratings as the Supra would have quite a bit more than 206kW.

EDIT: Changed the cars I was comparing

BTW I have read that Speed article, but it really is just an opinion piece. I can't see how they're "PRO's". Sure they've probably driven a lot of cars and are more qualified to judge the cars than me, but aren't they just fellow enthusiasts driving cars and then writing about them?

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
