well this has been covered a lot, and a search can help you with many OPINIONS, but its all up to YOU

comparing stock cars...

difference between R32 gtst and R33 gtst:

R32 is 2.0L turbo, lighter

R33 is 2.5L turbo, heavier

--> as a result, the R33 is slightly faster, but the R32 handles slightly better

then it comes down to looks...

which one do you like better?

I personally think the R33 looks fat and rounded, while the R32 is sleek and more sporty. Others disagree and love the R33 and hate the R32

then it comes to modifications...

do you plan to do any?

From what has been posted on these forums it seems R33's make power a bit easier than the R32's for the same money.

Now, for the insurance...

insurance will be HIGH for both cars. if you are in melb forget the R33 as its illegal to drive on your P's, and any insurance will be voided if you are at fault in an illegal car...

Full comp might be $3k at a guess

3rd party about $700ish at a guess

under parents name? no idea. not good for your rating though as you don't build one when under parents name (i think)

and finally... you are 17 so please be careful on the road with whatever car you decide to purchace.

So if you have listened to the above, then listen to this:

DON'T DRIFT.... pelase! you won't afford the tyres, replacement engine and body parts, and you will damage either yourself or others whilst trying on the street. when you are older and have experience on the road then other manouvers mgiht come into play then.

schumacker didn't drive a ferrari at the age of 17 did he? he learnet first - he crashed, broke bones, learned from his mistakes. then when he was older he ruled the world!

have fun,

Warren.

ok well firstly, lookin at your age, and you are still young, and im guessin you are limited in money. so i would suggest a r32, only cause its cheaper.. It all depends on your budget, so let us know how much you wanna spend.. also what are you intentions in owning a skyline, like you want it only for drags, driftin, crusin etc etc??? U said you wanna know which drifts better.. I assume, stock vs stock, a r32..

If you wanna the difference between a r32 and r33, its been covered a billion times, so i suggest you search..

It all comes down to personal taste in the end and your budget..

hmm about insurance, best is to ask the companies.. would be same if u have a r32 or r33.. well also the fact if its a turbo or non-turbo..

hope that helps a little..
