making your own alarm and imobaliser

ok, ive been having plans of making my own alarm and imobaliser

how it will work is simple

imobaliser, rig a swich into the circuit of the ignition so without the secret switch hiddned somewhere switched on, the car wont start

alarm, bonnect sensor riged to the switch and the horn, swich is open circuit triggers the horn makes loud noise, people who are trying to rip off your performance parts run away

probly make it 2 switches as it will be easyer

and a nice blinking red light for a bit more deterance

what you all think, anyone done this before

why aste your time and effort, you can get cheap alarms for a few hundred bucks installed.

Yep couldn't agree more, buy what you want have it installed by a pro all for a couple of hundred and be done with it.

insurance company wont deal with your home made brew..

they are good for a deterrant. I find them daily and the best one I saw was in an 80's statesman that was WELL hidden and self arming.

the above point is true. insurance companies don't like them.
