Hi Guys,

I am searching for some good throw over seat covers, But I am having troubles finding a set I like.

I dont want NOS or some other Ricey brand/logo covers.

Ideally I would love some Snapon Power tools Covers (these have been arround for years) but I got no idea where to get them.

Or I woiuld not mind something else a bit plain (like black without big logo's and stuff)

Can anyone point me in the right direction.???

Oh yeah I have checked auto barn, super cheap and repco.. Nothing I like..

I was in the same situation as you.

wanted a seat cover, but didn't want any logos on it.

I manage to get a set of red ones with no logo at Flemmington markets for $40.

Not bad so far, would of prefered them to be more fitted but it's just the same as the other slip on ones.

apparently they have them for the rear seats aswell. I'll be checking it out later.

lol The snap on covers are shit they slide off the bloody seat and everyone has one.

I work for a company called Wurth - In the Automotive Industry, Wurth is known for its quality gear and we have a nice Petrol/oil/water resistant Car seat cover - very popular and its got a fitted headrest so the cover doesnt slide off the seat - PM me if you want one - $45 bucks!

Regards

Kim

Hey Man,

I have established a new brand of seat covers that will be available to the general public shortly, I can organise for you to get a set off me if you are interested. Check my website for info on the seat covers.

Overdrive Site

They retail for $50 each but I can do you a deal for $40 each.

Kim, do you have a quick url with a picture just to check out? I thought I'd send it here instead of PM as others would probly be interested.

i would just like to point this out, the snap on seat covers were designed not for the general public to use as every day items, they were made for mechanics or people in the auto trade to slip on and off as we get in and out of a customers cars.

in general thats the reason i have myn, i only use it on my car to and from work.

on a side note - wurth products are awesome, especially there brake cleaner and the brake cleaner pump bottles, :(

The wurth site is down or id link a pic of it for you guys to see.

The wurth stuff is bloody awesome, I just wish I had a big enuff garage to put stuff away in it, my mates over here always raid my boot for samples n stuff I have heheh.

We supply a lot of brake bottles/cleaners even to guys that dont buy off us = u go to pretty much ne workshop anywhere in australia, and theyll have a pump bottle at least!

I personally have one for myself - but if anyone was interested in it - I can get one for you, just one off things - but if u wanted a consistent/large amount - just ask the local wurth consultant that comes to your workshop.

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
    • Sounds good, we will aim to be there! @The Bogan I'll give you a shout if you are heading up to campbelltown for the meet too.
    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
