If you guys want, drop me a Trader Rating if youre happy with how things went.

Thanks,

Shaun.

When it arives i definately will, you've be awesome throughout this deal so far.

Thanks In advance.

G

I just transferred the money for 16 magic cats into their account, and faxed off all the names and addresses of the people in the group buy (except those 4 above) to them. For the 4 above, dont worry, when the money clears in my account, ill do the same for you. I just didnt want to pay for those cats out of my own money in case something happened.

I hope everything goes well with the postage side of things; i think they'll post them tomorrow at the latest. If you guys want, drop me a Trader Rating if youre happy with how things went.

Thanks,

Shaun.

Shaun,

I would appreciate being placed on your list for 1 x 4" cat on the next group buy.

Please provide banking details.

Mine just arrived too. Thanks Shaun. Feedback coming your way.

BTW what was the verdict on whether these cats are coated or not? That other thread has spooked me since I bought this to reduce emissions, not because I didn't want to get fined.

That testing hasn't been done yet.

Yeah got mine today too. I'm not too worried about that other stuff, i'm gonna get mine fitted soon. It does look like its coated with something, and theres residue inside the tube, so i think it should be all good.

Thanks again Shaun, champion effort mate, if you're ever gonna do another group buy (of something i need :D) i'll definitely be in.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend ya.

Cheers

Jeeeezus, theyre pretty small arent they!

Thanks for the good feedback guys; i just hope they perform for us all as expected. ill be keeping an eye on the results of the tests.

I dont think ill do another group buy; its too stressful!!

Thanks again,

Shaun.

Mine hasn't arrived yet, but no surprise there being up in Townsville.

What im wondering , from the guys who have theres , ..........

Does it look like the curved ends holds the cat guts in........ ??

As i was going to chop the ends off as i wanted a true 4" to fit 4" piping....

Hope i still can !

Gary

Its hard to say Gary. The stainless mesh does end where the outside of the cat starts to neck down, so it might be captive in there. However, if you cut the ends off as close to the mesh as possible (while still leaving material to weld onto), it'll still be held captive and the diameter will be about 3.95 inches. Im going to do the same thing, because i dont want a reducer in my exhaust either.

Shaun.

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
