Well

I have FINALLY finished running in the beast - and had it retuned after a full rebuild

She managed to get to 402hp @ the wheels - which by my math is about 303awkw – yes. Tune was done by Mazfix on their 2 wheel dyno – so does that impact on the number in any way ?

I happy with that result - based on the following 'upgrades'. I was targeting about 280awkw – using std injectors, AFMs and FMIC.

This is what I did .... (work was done by Serge @ John French – BTW)

full engine rebuild using

N1 bearings

ARIES forged pistons

ballance/linish/polish everything

R34 N1 turbos running @ 18psi (series 1s with .42 comp housing)

TOMEI adj cam gear

TOMEI head gasket (1.2mm)

TOMEI fuel pump

TOMEI timing belt

All new tensioners and pulleys

N1 water pump

N1 oil pump

minor port and polish with new steam seals and competition seats

non-turbulent dumps into full 3" system

std injectors cleaned and flowed

APEXI PCF with EBC

SX fuel reg

Not sure what the losses are for a GTR but if it made 400hp on a 2wd dyno then obviously you dont have ~300awkw, you have 300kw at the rear wheels. Which is pretty well on the limit for standard injectors as in theory they should max at about 520-530bhp.

Nice power you l are certainly pushing the limit of the injectors and afm's . Should do an 11 if you can have your 60ft times around the 1.7 mark . I've got about 300-320rwkw ( 300kw before we changed the restrictive exhuast) out at wsid the other night I did 11.6@119mph with a 1.7 60 ft tyres were nothing fancy just bridgestone potenza's.

Is your ECU taking a few degrees out at the top end?

That power curve looks really nice but looks like its either maxing out you afms or taking out timing due to leaning out /pinging

thats pushing the o'l injectors pretty hard!

If you got a rebuild done i would prob spend the little extra and get some afms and injectors to complete the package.

sorry if i sound like a pesamistic dic*head.

looks like a really nice power curve, but i have seen too many cars pushed on standard injectors and go BOOM!!!

great result tho :(

Dont want to burst your bub ble but dont standard engines reach that power anyway, i have a set of 32n1's and are maxing out my injectors to, (400hp)and when the ca was standard ran a 12.1 at 114mph at 247rkw

I think u need bigger injectors and airflows with a proper tune, no offense to archie at mazfix but ive seen some of his tunes, and do not like the result when compared to other people tunes and end results.. Im thinking your car should be able to do alot more i would be looking at the 500hp at the rear wheels with that, should be achieved with more boost and better tune.

OK OK

FYI - I have a pair of RB25 AFM in the boot already - just waiting for a suction kit before I can fit them up. I'll also be upgrading the injectors (550cc HKS or SARD I think). I'll then take it for another dyno tune and push for some more.

I KNOW some of you also get these types of numbers with std internals, but for how long. I was running R32 N1s before my rebuild - without the PFC and using std internals - and it went BOOM. At that stage I was getting ~210awkw.

I'm still happy with ~300awkw with this setup – and I know it will drive hard all day.

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
