Hi all,

I've had a couple of skylines over the last 3 years and I purchased a very clean R32 GTST a few months back which I am currently selling at the moment as I take delivery of a work car next month.

A quick question for those of you knowledgable in the M-Spec area. (as I am not)

The R32 I own has a full M-spc body kit (side skirts, front bar, spoiler etc)

How do I tell if it is an M-spec?? Are there other extras that will determine if it is?

At the moment I have advertised it as an R32 GTST with an M-Spec body kit but am I selling myself short?? It won't effect the price I want for it but it would be a nice point of reference if it was indeed an M-Spec.

Please do a search in future before you ask a question, this has been covered at least 3 times this week already!

There is also no such thing as a r32 spec-M or M-spec, it is called a Type-M. That will help with your search. Also, look for a thread with FAST in the title, if you supply ur vin number someone will look up ur exact car for its basic details.

Rhett

3 times this week hey?? Tell me where because I can't find any post answering my question. There are lots of people selling cars with that description and talking about bits and pieces but before you pay out on me how about you do some research and see if the question has been answered? as I already did.

My VIN number is not is nissan FAST either and upon enquiring at Nissan I was told that not all VIN numbers are registered

You post a thread that outlines exactly what defines an Spec M/ M spec and I will eat my words. If not how about you leave your post whoring about research to frequent threads asking "what turbo should I get?" or "Is a front mount worth it?"

Or one of your threads asking about "Aftermarket Boost Gauges" on the 29/4/05

Now there is a topic that comes up every week.

there is too many conflicting thoughts on what and what isn't a type m..

I have what I think is a genuine "non type-m" but half the stuff of what people says defines a non type-m is not even true..

anyhow, i wouldn't worry too much about what you claim in the ad, as most people will have no idea anyhow. As long as its got the proper 4pot brakes, I wouldn't worry too much

hey jevan,

if it has 4-pot front brakes, then advertise it as a Type M

that's all anyone cares about really i think

as for what is type m? well, i think it included different steering wheel, rear wiper, bodykit, better brakes, and some other stuff too

but from memory any or all of these things could be added to a non type m or removed from a type m, so brakes really seal the deal...

Warren.

    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
