Hey guys, i'm trying to sell my car but because of the crack in the front bar and some scrapes there its making the car look like its in poor condition and is hard to sell. Is it worth fixing, or should I get a new front bar? Or should I try a dodgey and get some fibre glass kit and patch it myself?

If anyone recommends a place to fix this for a fair price then let me know.

Thanks

i wouldnt bother getting that fixed mate,

cost you an arm and a leg to get that fixed up properly,

best thing to do would be to go to autobarn grab yourself a fibreglass repair kit, buy the closest matching touchup paint you can find and spend a couple of hours yourself fixing it. It may not look as good as a professional job but itll look a damn sight better and youll have a spare $400~ in your pocket.

I dont see your car in the for sale section but was going to say, if it is priced accordingly, you shouldnt have a problem or do as Nav2K is saying and get a written quote to get the work done either at your expense or theirs with the price changing accordingly.

well just before I put my last car up for sale some someone managed to scrape the right hand door (the car had a recent respray so paint was immaculate).

I just told the guy who came to buy it "mate its a 10 year old second hand car and i'm not going to use one scraped door as a bargaining tool to get the price down".

The rest of the car was immaculate inside/out. If someone is happy with the condition of the rest of the vehicle and knows that they are actually doing - they will buy it!

ok thanks guys. i think i'll try patch it up myself. i haven't posted the car in the for sale section as i figured just about everyone on the forums has a skyline

But I will take some pics and put it in for pretty cheap maybe 10-11k.

_turtle_ why so cheap, is it a GTS and in poor condition? Not that I am complaining but it seems very cheap for a 33.

Its really not that bad, but the first thing which ppl see is the front. I just paid 12months rego on it so I want to get rid of it quick instead of the car just sitting in my driveway. Oh, and i've seen them go in the trading post for around that price too.

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
