Ramen is glorified noodles with slices of meat, chopped up onions and other assortment of vegetables.

Pretty much the same as what you get in other Asian countries, except Ramen is prepared in a neat, articulate manner.

I don't really like it, it still taste like 2 minute maggi noodles to me.

well the instant noodles/ramen is pretty standard i must say.... but the real stuff is fantastic!

anyways ramen is just the japanese flavouring, unlike other asian flavours and ramen is only soup noodle and not dry noodles....

the nissin cup noodle is probably the most famous instant ramen... try them...

you can find them at your local japanese, chinese, korean store...

ok lang ramen is a word like spaghetti...

as there is meatball, cream, etc flavours in spaghetti

the flavours of ramen is literary endless (as fresh ramen is made in different parts of japan with its distinct flavours and ingredients...)

normally instant ones are like soya sauce, pork, seafood, chicken, curry, etc.

very generic flavours...

if you want to make fresh you probably can but is easier looking for it in your local japanese restaurant. it is propably not too hard if you look into your local bookshops for some japanese recipe books or online. you probably want to taste ones in restaurants first so at least you know what its supposed to taste like and look like....

dopefish: i didnt realise there was a frozen ramen... do you mean udon?

as udon is the thick noodle as opposed to ramen being more like thinner noodle.

all this ramen talk is making me hungry! and i miss the ramen sooo much damn it....

    • Hi All,    I have my BW EFR 8474 with a T4 split 1.05 rear housing. Rear housing is ceramic coated and drilled and tapped for EMAP take off.  Supported 520awkw at 35psi through the 8HP with ~5k rpm spare on the BW 127k limit. Ran a 9.98.    Turbo is one of the first that was released but only done ~3k kms.    Asking $2800 happy to negotiate. Only selling to upgrade.   Located Gladstone QLD happy to ship.

    • Just wondering how come the hood was grinded down?
    • I have no hard data to report, but I have to say, having driven it to work and back all week, mostly on wet roads (and therefore mostly not able to contemplate anything too outrageous anywhere)..... it is real good. I turned the boost controller on, with duty cycle set to 10% (which may not be enough to actually increase the boost), and the start boost set to 15 psi. That should keep the gate unpressurised until at least 15 psi. And rolling at 80 in 5th, which is <2k rpm, going to WOT sees the MAP go +ve even before it crosses 2k and it has >5 psi by the time it hits 90 km/h. That's still <<2.5k rpm, so I think it's actually doing really well. Because of all the not-quite-ideal things that have been in place since the turbo first went on, it felt laggy. It's actually not. The response appears to be as good as you could hope for with a highflow.
