Superclean Way To Install Rear Strut Brace On R32

so yer, got some generic braces for cheap for my r32. Thing is the first owner obviously got he all boot carpet option, and the boot is still super tidy. Just wondering if anyone has tips for cutting up a carpeted boot neatly so it still looks nice

Just mark out where it will go and cut slits so that the carpet doesn't have a chunk taken out of it but rather a slit so the bar can go through then the carpet part can kinda sit back on top of it.

i just took out both sides of the carpet bits on my car so the body is showing on the sides but the bottom still has the carpet... i feel it looks ok...

well, ive put them in, in the rear the carpet was on plastic, so i did have to cut a hole, but what i did was make a flap instead. so if the strut brace comes out, just position the flap back in place and tape it up on the inside
