hey guys, ive tried searching for other topics on this but cant find any.

what im trying to do (havent attempted yet as i want to make sure i dont destroy my car door) is put new speakers in the side doors of my r33.

how do i get inside to put a new speaker in?

also, where do most of you guys run your amp wires from the deck to the amp in the boot? do you do it:

1) under the door skirt (inside the car) ie to the far left or right of the car just under the carpet.

2) through the middle of the car?

How do you get inside ?

Take the electric windows controller section out (pull it upwards as their are 2 metal clips which are quite hard to release).

Their is a screw in the little holder thing under a plastic cap.

About 4 screws on the bottom of the door and then leaver it out upwards gently.

From their you can see the speakers in the little holders and the rest im sure you know

It's easiest to run them down the left hand side of the car just under the carpet.

i put mine flat on the boot floor to the left of the boot, my next amp will go on the right and the subby box in the middle, to mount i got as piece of thin wood (about 2cm thick) and sat it on the floor underneath the carpeting and glued a couple pieces of rubber to it to stop vibration noises and for extra traction to the floow, i then place the carpet back on top and then the amp and then screwed the amp through the carpet into thew wood, worked a charm :) but having the next amp on the right worries me as getting to the spare wheel would be next to impossible :) so im thinking maybe reinforce the back wall to the battery area and mount it in that, hmm decision decisions

but the 6x9 instal;l took the cake i ended up haveing to split my parcel tray in two pieces to get them in, but now they are in they look mad and sound mad :)

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
