i just brought my new cooler 450x300x78 or whatever it is and decided i was going to install it on the weekend. i got a headache looking at it as me and my friends did not know where to start few things were harder then they looked, was hoping the cooler would mount strait up to where the front kit mounts up, but the 2 places on the cooler where the bolts mount in sit in more then the kit wholes and i couldnt really see any where to mount, i checked out my friends one his mounting whole is in the middle of his cooler and had it mounted with a triangle bracket, any ideas how i could mount mine its one of tyhe just jap coolers. oh and any idea how much it would be just to get it put in at any shops in sydney? i have the cooler, all piping 2.5inch off my friends old set up off a similar sized cooler that was a tad smalled and thinner, all i need is reducers from the cooler to piping. and brakets to mount the cooler, any suggestions would be much appreciated

nemz: I could probably do it, but I don't really like installing things on somebody's car incase I get blamed if something goes wrong :P People also have different standards as to what they expect and like things perfect.. Whereas my own car I don't have that problem :D

If you can find a proper workshop to do it for $100, I'd get them to do it.

Haven't got a front bar yet.. as the $400-500 to get it fitted, painted, etc I could use on performance mods right now .. With my car, I am kind of waiting until the whole car needs a respray, and get it all done (full kit, etc) in hopefully 12 months or so.

ive gotten the fmic mounted into the front, took me my brother and a mate about 40 mins including cutting the front bar, wasnt to hard after buying some brakets from a hardware place, and making it fit :P, now all i need to do is cut a hole in the sidewall under the battery to fit my piping through, any suggestions on how i should go about this?

got it all installed, had a little bit of fun with the piping, took all up about 4 hours, also installed a boost guage, and done some repair on my front kit which was damaged a while back on the way down from brisbane when i hit a kangaroo, was snapped in 3/4 spots and done an oil/filter change in 1 weekend!!, and tonight car started pinging after change and boost guage was installed, scared the f**k out of me, was loosing power, seems it didnt have enough oil! but when i checked it when i first put it in it was fine weird!

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
